what if a ex4 comes out will it out shine 4?
no because people are biased against anything that has the EX name in it.
if the CG is as clean as Tekken 6…
naw, never.
Does anyone still play SFEX2 Plus ? I was wondering if someone managed to play this game online using epsxe . I got it setup but I haven’t tested with anyone yet… Is anyone willing to try this out ?
It works online, best thing to use is kaillera p2p and make sure that you and the person you play against have the exact same settings.
Hey guys…
SFEX2-SFEX2 Plus is now actually possible to play on Mame ONLINE ( Kaillera or P2P ) with Mame32 Plus! Plus! 0.117 .
The reason we weren’t able to play the game because the in-gameplay was slow even though the fps still shows as 60 fps…
Here are the steps to play the good ol’ SF EX2 series online without gameplay slowdown:
-
Get Mame32 Plus! Plus! 0.117 if you don’t already have it .
-
Play any SFEX2 game and set the game’s cpu to 150 % by going to the slider menu ( ` ) and press down until you get the cpu and then hold Shift and press Right until you get 150 % . Also adjust the buttons while your at it if you plan on changing video graphics using PSX plugins for processing performance . Then exit the game .
-
Adjust the game’s properties . You can do this by right clicking the game and going to the properties section . Go to the advanced tab and set the video output method from GDI to Direct3D . You also have an option to use psx plugins below . PSX settings are ok and give you good performance , but you won’t be able to use features like chatting or adjusting buttons when in use . If switched off ( Using standard mame engine ) , depending on the computer you use , you may have slow downs during super ko’s ( or in game overall ) , but you will be able to chat , etc. I believe exiting is a lot easier too using standard Mame engine .
-
Host a room and start game , once it starts , press Shift+F11 and then press 3 . Mame will overclock the game to 150 % .
-
Game will reset and the gameplay will now play normally . Enjoy !
With that said , anyone here willing to play online ?
EDIT : Managed to play my first player “popo” tonight , while I believe me and him started early in the EX series , he gotten better the second time and I believe he seemed to be really good with Chun-Li . I’m also liking Sagat a bit , and if I ever find a way to unlock characters online , Garuda .
Ggs Popo  ! I hope to see more SFEX2P players along the way
!
well I tried out that CPU overclocking in conjunction with recording matches but that didn’t go so well. All of the outputed avi failed couldn’t be read in either WMP, WMC, or even virtualdub. But it did help get the action up to speed though.
I’m going to play a few online today I guess
. I’ll be over at GodWeapon’s server .

Is Darun Mister better than Zangief in Street Fighter EX3?
daruns has more potiental damage but not garunteed. but it is easier to execute (only 360
+3p).
I don’t think Darun’s Meteor is what makes him better.
I’d say because he has better anti-air and more options (Indra Bashi air juggle super, air throw, and chest thrust parry). The lack of Banishing Flat really hurts Zangief’s mobility and anti-projectile game.
Zangief in return has slightly better range on his throws (I believe) and Russian Stomp super is great for combos. Maybe slightly better normals, too (especially crouching Roundhouse)
Beat me to it; overall Darun is more versatile than Gief. They took away some of Giefs combo options in EX2 so he’s more direct now. Powerful, but linear.
He’s really good at tick throws though; took a page from Alpha 2 360 setups are good yet still take timing, unlike easy mode SF4 gief.
Also I like how they kept 5MK pick at Alpha 2 priority (which is good). Me like MK pick. :razzy:
GGs to Remy (CM) Zillion , Caliagent#3 and Spitfire for the SFEX2P games today :wgrin: !

EDIT : For the people playing online , I somewhat found a solution for unlocking all the characters .
Requirements = Cheat Engine 5.5 ( Maybe some versions work as well … )
1 . Open up Cheat Engine 5.5
2 . Download and open up ( Click the folder icon ) this file = http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?n2nwujlvzq0
3 . Start the game ( Don’t do this with PSX Plugin with Full screen on . )
4 . Over at Cheat Engine , select mameppkgui.exe as a process ( Click on computer icon with magnifying glass and scroll all the way down and mameppkgui.exe should be there . If there are 2 processes , pick the one below [ The second one . ] )
5 . Over at Cheat Engine , you should see both the adresses with something like 0xF7EE after the color test boot up is finished . Double click those two values and set it to 0xFFFF . Reset the game and voila ! All the characters are unlocked !
NOTE : You have to do this process every time you restart mame .
sorry I thought he asked whose meteor attack was better. my mistake

Chun-Li, Area, Nanase, and Pullum were always my favorite characters. If I ever manage to get this game again, I’ll probably ask for a nudge in the direction of a tutorial.

Quick question. Did the EX series actually feel like Street Fighter?
y/n
Yes, what else would it feel like?
Shinji, didn’t you once prove that the EX series uses the Alpha game engine, and is programmed using some of the exact same code?
EX3 feels pretty damn similar to Alpha 2 and the CvS series to me, only with polygons instead of sprites.
