I just got throught playing EX+@ on Zinc and I must say Blair is surely bottom tier.
And I think Zangief should be in a tier all his own. He is un-freakin-stoppable. I can’t believe the way he was dashing my allen around. But Zangief’s regular grabs<Darun’s grabs.
Also is it just me or dose Guile have a almost 100% combo in this game? IMO if Guile gets a sonicboom juggle going it’s over. Even with I meter super.
Also the Buffer on blocks in this game is insane! No wonder Grapplers and peeps with command grabs own. Jesus.
I played that SFEX+ recently as well, when Zangeif did his cross up splash as I was getting up, with Kairi I just hit the crouching strong, and we traded hits, that isn’t so bad. Also in SFEX2 with Garuda I easily timed a jab verison of his uppercut move and hit him cleanly.
One thing that I dislike about the EX series is that cross ups and all screwed up. I mean, my bro and I used to play and there were several times when it “looked” like it would cross up (IE in other SF games it would) but in EX it doesn’t. You really have to be on the other side to cross up correctly, and that takes the guess work out of cross ups, because if any player knows this then they know how to block correctly.
I just refinished the EX+ expert mode again and got the barrel bonus game again. I tried that a few times and got 1,400,000 as a high score. But I know I did better before, at least with the EX2+ one. I’ll try doing it more and more til I break the other guys score lol
I still have EX1 and EX3. I was gonna preorder EX1 when it first came out but a guy at my local EB games said it wasn’t worth the money. Still did get it though and bought EX3 when I bought my PS2. 4player tag and dramatic where fun. Played EX2 at the arcades a couple of times should get it for PSX. Although I enjoyed the 2D series more, the Ex series was alright.
Yeah…SFEX+@ is the best fighting game ever created…and the only reason why I play Tekken series more is because of the fact that my friends don’t like the game much and I had no challenge. What’s worse, around here where I live, NO ARCADES have any EX games! Anyway, I still think it’s the best game. So technical…people say this, say that about EX+. It’s slow, it’s weak, look at the way they move! They just don’t know what they are talking about…I do admit though, I was a SFEX+@ maniac…I studied Ryu, E. Ryu, Ken, and Akuma over and over again…the ONLY game I spent months and months on. Sadly, I lost the CD cover along with the booklet, lost hope of its genuity, and lost the game this summer because I took college courses that went from 9pm-12pm Monday-Friday…ugh…gotta go get another one from ebay.com. Well, yeah, EX+@ rocks!!!
