YAY!! only 30 bucks
They actually put Alex on the cover! They know he exists!
Is that the cover? Thats not a new image… It was (i assume it should still be there somewhere) in the SF 15th Anniversary website…
I think thats a temp cover…
Maybe they can do alternate covers with this too, God willing. I, too, prefer the Akiman cover.
Wooops no character stats sorry for the fake hype. Just character bio and movelist and ending.
So it this a 100% complete translation? Not cutting out any stuff from the Japanese version?
Please answer Udon…
Edit: …Who’s that face next to Ryu’s?
I think it’s Cammy.
Good and bad
Capcom should still pull a mea culpa and just admit why they changed the names. Shadaloo does not sound like a nefarious organization, a toilet manufacturer yes, but not a threat to civilized nations.
SHADOWLAW on the other hand, that’s got a nice ring to it. Shadow… dark and creepy, Law… authoritative, menacing. Put them together and you got a bad guy organization. Same with the other stuff, I know I’m being nit picky, but to me it’s like Japan settling for Buntman, Halk and Soopoman as the name changes for our hero characters just because.
I know Udon can’t help but stick to the US Capcom’s name changes… loss of continuity sucks though. Might make me not want to get the book. And a Shinkiro cover? I do think he is the second-most overyhyped videogame artist ever. Honestly, he puts mascara on all his characters, men and women. It’s hard to look tough when your makeup is running… Akiman, Bengus almost anybody else at Capcom and some of the cats at Udon would’ve made a better cover. That Akiman illustration of Ryu on the Street Fighter Anniversary DVD’s was hot, would’ve made for a powerful cover.

But what do I know? I’m just another fan blowing hot air in the forums.
Peace,

I ordered my copy on Friday.
The swapping around of the EOS names has always bothered me. I dunno why they couldn’t have called the boxer just Mike in the beginning and be done with it. (Tyson’s lawyers couldn’t sue over a first name could they?)
So I bought the SF:AE guide at the local EB today.
After going through pages of wonder, it only made me want SF: Eternal Challenge even more!
From the Guide, it had pages and pages of pictures, sketches, information etc. It even had a bonus music CD with it.
After reading this, it made me think that Eternal Challenge will only be 1000000000 times better.
So, the ulitmate point i want to make (or know, rather) is:
Is there an exact release date for Eternal Challenge??
thanks in advance.
That Shinkiro drawing appears in the Japanese SF Eternal as a Mat for Sale.
The Akiman SF drawing on the Japanese SF Eternal book will appear on the US Version of the SF Anniversary Edition Game coming out next week, so either way we will get both drawings.
Yeah, I can’t decide. Both Shinkiro and Akiman’s drawings are excellent, but I’ll be more partial to Shinkiro’s since it has characters outside of SF2, and EVERYONE outside of Japan needs to know there’s more to SF then SF2.
Wait…
Despite the different cover, are the content the same?
Or the US version and the JAP version are different from each other?
I am a bit confused
Same here, that guide was an AWESOME read!
Is there an exact release date for the US version of the Eternal Challenge yet?
thats what i want to know
