Street Fighter Comic - needs you!

BBCampbell - Since you were the first to give me details about the SF Zero issue, I’m glad you finally got a copy! And notice Chun-Li sitting at the Diner before her last page appearance!

Oh yeah. I think I probably caught most of the stuff that’s “hidden” in the issue. I’m thinking of opening a SF comic spoiler/speculation thread in the Fan Fiction forums…

In fact, I’ll probably do so at some point today.

Watch for it…

Oh shit, please tell me you’re kidding. HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO GET MY HANDS ON A GAMEPRO MAG HERE IN AUSTRIA! :frowning:

My Review

I think the first issue was pretty good. The artwork was very good and the pacing of the story felt perfect for the source material.

The only problem I have with the series as a whole are the covers, which seem either incorrectly utilized, unimaginative or a little “clunky” and overdone. Other than that, great book. I hope this series goes on for a long time.

Is there a Foil Version of SF #1 out yet??? I have not seen it…

Couldn’t resist buying the second printing cover with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile! I’m such a Street Fighter fanatic…

I just got back from the store, and there were no foil issues. They had a ton of the wrap-around and the 4-character issues, but no foil. I feel robbed and cheated at the same time.

I just called up a few stores and found out that the foil cover has not been shipped. I am calling Image up to demand some answers. Will let you guys know what it is about soon.

are they available in stores or is it online only?

but yea please update.

One can purchase a copy of the foil cover from Dyanmic forces’ online store for $10.

Thanks, for the quick response…

That is for issue #0, I already have that copy… I wanted to know about foil issue #1.

I just picked up the Megaman comic. What utter crap. The inking was bad and the drawing was sloppy. They had the nerve to say Monstropolis changed to Metro City, Megaman’s Rock named changed to Rocky, the public doesn’t know he’s an Andriod, Megaman can fly and he’s going to a High School with a love interest well in place as if this was Astro Boy the Teen Years or something! It really hurts because before I was a Street Fighter Fanatic I was a Megaman Fanatic and the comic adaptation is even worse than the American cartoon. That being said I’m really glad Studio Udon has the rights to Street Fighter and I’m now very scared of how Dreamwave will screw up Darkstalkers, Rival Schools and the other Capcom licenses.

tmnt is still good through

tmnt and street fighter rule.

Megaman… can fly?  Strange strange Dreamwave comic people.

I will not comment on other’s take on popular Capcom properties. What UDON is promising the SF fans out there is a comic that will capture the essence of the Street Fighter game that everyone comes to love. We are doing a SF comic afterall, not a comic with characters with SF names in but the fans cannot relate to. In my opinion, that is why most license properties failed to succeed. The creators want to “re-create” something that is so great to begin with…

And that’s why we keep posting in this thread to give you feed back. I just can’t get into DF order form, so I think I’m dammed, but I haven’t got the foils nor one of the covers, “They weren’t sent buddy” Damn…

Hey Udoneko, how about a chess set? or some t-shirts for Xmas?

It’s alright UDON chief, flame Dreamwave all you want. This is SRK.

Typically, flaming other people in the same industry as you to a large public is seen as bad manners, and in some cases, can have legal liabilities associated with it (usually of slander, I believe)

ey udoneko, im gonna be picking up issue one tommorow. Just wanted to say that the dude at my local comic shop (amazing stories in saskatoon saskatchewan) says he knows you, you know anyone from around here?

please don’t flame Dreamwave
