Itâs probably gallery. Thereâs also a chance that itâs a re-done character select screen. Hopefully they didnât change the battle style to staring at a picture of Yun. That doesnât seem like a good idea.
now that i think about it when looking at the background it does look similar to the first pic Ono posted of the main title screen so its probably either part of the character select or win quote or something since the background doesnt even match an in game stage

at the bottom right i can sort of make out numbers like â49/52â (with ghosting from the camera) or something like that. art gallery modes often use that kind of interface. could be my garbage vision talking though.
i hope nothing is done to char select in particular since that screen is iconic in my mind.

it does say âbackâ on the bottom as well probably indicating to go to a previous screen and since its on an HD tv i can imagine there being a ânextâ on the far right after the numbers, it probably is an art gallery

Like Iâm gonna buy the game and just be so into the gallery section. lol. Get the fuck out of here Ono. Always gotta make everything lame.
Image galleries are practically the bare essentials of easter eggs in fighting games at this point(even going as far back as the first release of GGXX, they had a whole bunch of bells and whistles). Theyâre pointless and donât affect gameplay sure, but for âfansâ who like to do fan art or just love unlocking secrets in games and so on, theyâre nice little treats. I love playing 3rd Strike, but Iâm also disappointed that there arenât nearly as much fanart for it as the other SF games. But yeah, itâs a different world and market from competitive gaming, so I canât really say anything if you donât care.
If they add achievements, Iâm going to kill myself.
