I think more likely it’ll be annoying since it’ll mean finding someone who is even decent at 3S more difficult. After a week though I’m sure it’ll die down. I’m just curious how it’ll play… You can still learn a good deal from playing online so it’d be a huge boon to the 3S community if the online was really solid and well constructed.
It really won’t. I doubt seasoned players are going to wait around in lobbies trying to start matches with randoms unless they’re trying to boost, in which case they most likely suck anyway.
3rd strike has a weird cast? You do realize your favorite SF4 cast includes a green lycanthrope, a guy with a rotating yin yang symbol in his abdomen and a fat biker with the agility of a ballet dancer.
Well to be fair to DeathReaper47, the case WAS weird 10 years ago.
I always looked at the 3S cast as one of the best and most unique cast of characters ever assembled. A feat that was near impossible to beat with SF2’s cast already established and well known, but a feat accomplished nonetheless IMO.
It’s because there’s really no substitute in 3s for playing a long time. There really aren’t any special tricks or gimmicks that you can use that will allow you to bypass the experience you’ll get playing for years.
Its already written that the first day tha 3S:OE comes out, all OG players will make around 6 million low parries the first day cause of all the scrub mashing those low forwards 
That and wake up shoryukens.
3S’s cast is just cool without being ridiculous. It’s not crazy like the GG series but it’s a bit more bizarre than KoF or SF2 (Blanka and Dhalsim are weird but they’re exceptions). Cool designs, beautiful sprites/animations and the whole color palette is just awesome. The lighting on Ibuki and Oro is especially impressive. The guys doing the sprite work for the SFIII series were really artists, not just illustrators/animators.

I find it funny that the people that complain about 3s have never played it or not even played 10 matches against REAL opponents.
Yeah, it also has the entire SF2 cast aka the characters people gave a fuck about when they think of Street Fighter.
SF2 cast is boring, and SF4 proves it.

Hopefully there’s some news on this soon. I’d be surprised if they don’t do something major. Hardly anyone still plays Marvel or HDR downloads I imagine. I quit playing HDR almost the day I downloaded it.
Honestly, I’d hope they’d at least buff up the lower tier characters to even things up a bit.
Or maybe they could just make this a Hyper SF3.
