Seth, please do a rebalanced mode and an arcade mode. The OGs can duke it out in the perfect arcade port.
The game, as is currently, is unbalanced, the vast majority of matches revolve around Chun/Yun/Ken. It’s as if choosing any other character is a self-imposed handicap. I use to be a die-hard 3S fan but it just got to the point where it isn’t fun anymore due to top tier BS.
cap unity called, they want their shitty posts back
btw arent you the guy who thought yun and yang were busted cause people spam that palm target combo
and if all the ogs are duking it out in arcade mode, whos going to be left to figure out that the tiers have even become more balanced in the other mode
Seems to be the consensus that if it were rebalanced (IF) that it would be fair if top tiers were left alone and low tiers buffed? Would that satisfy everyone? I could take it either way, but it would be nice if Alex could link off of crMP and crMK.
Just throwing this out there: What makes Necro so low tier? I can understand about the other low tiers. But Necro I can’t quite see. He’s got some great links into and SA1 and SA3, decent wakeup game, some great AA options, and solid mixup. His drill kicks are slow but good Necro’s don’t really use them. Or they use them after knocking the opponent down.
If you’re getting beat down 9 out of 10 by Chun, you suck. I use Alex and I beat most Chun’s in an even matter. I don’t necessarily dominate them, but they never streak me. So step up your game and stop bitching dude.
This is a pretty dead horse. Why beat it some more?
So anyone care to speculate on a release time?
I’m thinking 4th quarter 2011ish. Give or take a few months. MVC3 comes out in february, then they’ve got AE content for consoles lined up, probably see that in 3-4 months after MVC3, then I’m not sure what they’re doing, then probably SFXT. I’m assuming they’ll space out their fighting game related content 3-4 months or so to reap the most they can while still keeping the flow constant for the people who constantly need new stuff from capcom. Which is probably the majority of the SSF4 players (I feel). No offense meant to them, just that’s how the industry has gone in the last 4ish years. To be clear by industry I mean all of the video game industry, not just fighting games or capcom.
That doesn’t prove anything. Care to give me statistical data on how Alex fares against Chun? Hint, it’s a landslide in favor of one of them. There’s an inherent (vast) advantage when you pick one over the other right from the start of the match, there’s nothing Alex can do that is faster or better than Chun can.
Kuroda once beat a slew of people with Q at SBO, does that suddenly make Q viable against top tiers?
Because there lies an opportunity to shape-up the game before release and I’m voicing out my opinion.
3S has tiers like every game. Tiers are nothing more than superficial data for the idiots like yourself to either bitch about online or arcades (where you will just get laughed at in person), use an excuse when you lose with a "lower tier,"
and/or use the “top tiers” yourself because you think it will automatically help you win against anyway not using them (nevermind the practice and hard work 3S takes to get good at).
If anything, Kuroda should of proven to you that “low tiers” can beast in the right hands just like any character. It is the player who counts controlling the character, but i guess you are that dumb.
My advice is to be smart (if you really want to get somewhat decent at 3S), 3S is so much hard work but yet so rewarding at the same time. Every time you lose take something from it,. Disregard tiers so your mind will be free before going into a match. Going into a match against a Chun-Li and thinking you are at a disadvantage before even fighting her because she is “top tier”, means you probably will be at a disadvantage (and not because she is top tier, but because you thought that the opponent using her automatically got an advantage from it before the fight even starts). The better players are going to win, regardless. The master players in Japan who use Chun, Yun, and Ken, well…those guys are incredible players regardless who study the game inside and out for many years against much better competition than we normally get.
Practice and fight as many different opponents as you can as often as you can. 3S is a master game, and deserves master players.
3s is 85% player skill 15% character. I know it’s hard to believe from all the videos you watch.
Q is viable against top tiers.
You do realize no one who originally worked on 3s works for capcom anymore. Look at the past few games capcom has put out. Sf4 = ass. Hd remix = asss. Tvc=ASs. You do realize if they made a remix none of the top players would play. None of the Japanese top would play. Basically no one who loves 3s will play. You’d have no sick vids to watch of it. And we’d get a pad Hugo winning evo. Is this really what people want?
Tiers are predominantly a Capcom phenomena, namely the chasm between the top tier characters in Capcom games to those below them is vast. An integral part of good game design is to have all the available characters viable without giving any of them a major advantage over another. All characters should be on an even playing field, this diversifies the current matchups, infuses the current player base with renewed interest and vigor, and attracts a far larger amount of people to the game.
I don’t agree with your vision for 3S so I’m an idiot, great logic there champ. I didn’t ask for your advice so keep it to yourself.
