Same shit. I want GGXX#r now.
Guys, don’t quote me on this, but I think I solved the slowdown issue.
Try turning the filter off in the screen adjust menu and see for yourselves. So far I haven’t encountered any slowdown.
Anyone else fine too?
NVM - Still happens on Yun’s stage
Does anyone know if you can hookup the original xbox controller to the 360? I don’t even own one so I can’t try this out but I plan on buying ne in the future. I know there is an adapter that lets you hookup the OG xbox pad to a computer and the 360 uses usb…I think. Just want to know if anybody has tried it.
Does the xbox 360 doa stick with this game?
and if so how do i map the buttons correctly?
Yes, it does work. Read my earlier post for the correct mappings.
Yeah, still happens. What I do to see if it works I go to training with Remy vs Ryu, on Ryu’s stage. Go to the corner and do a c.HP into his RFK and the slow down will show itself, regardless of what filter setting you have.
How bad is the slowdown? does it make the game unplayable?
It’s still playable. The slowdown only happens frequently in a few stages (Yun and Yang’s most notable). It doesn’t happen during ground fighting, but if you jump in the air, the game slows down for a second or two. At most, it might screw up your parry time, but you can always play the game on a stage other than the ones that have slowdown and you’ll be fine.
Aside from that issue, it works fine, and looks great
Thanks for the information about the PS3. Never had to the chance to do any testing on that system with my 480i games. So I guess ps2 3rd strike is plagued with hdtv lag no matter what huh? That’s unfortunate. But its good to hear that the DoA4 stick can work with the game. I’m in the process of looking for the game and stick right now.
I sent mail to the head of that team telling them I want to buy the team pizza and beer.
Yay.
I realize the likelihood is low, but I’ll still hope for Marvel here. I’m jealous of all you 3S fans.
Sup preppy great job with all the vids youve been puttin up lately I really enjoy them
Why is interlacing clearly noticeable when I play SF3 on PS3 with forced 480p in things like the dust clouds on the ground and the parry /genei jin overlays? If the frames were de-interlaced, wouldn’t they be filled in?
If the frames were interlaced, the whole screen would be interlaced, not just the parry and Genei-Jin animations.
/common sense
What you’re seeing isn’t “interlaced frames”, it’s a deinterlacing artifact called “combing”. Combing is the artifact that occurs when improper deinterlacing causes a comb-like effect on some parts of the image, distorting them.
Additionally, if it were just displaying alternate fields (instead of performing deinterlacing) there wouldn’t be any lag, but it’s already confirmed that there are two frames of lag. These are the two frames that the PS3 buffers so that deinterlacing can be performed.
I think our only chance of having a good game of 3rd strike on the ps3 is if Capcom USA releases an SFIII Collection for the PS3 similar to SFAA on the ps2 with all arcade ports of the game. If they can port all the SFIII cps3 arcade ports onto a Blue-ray disc and make it 1080p compatable, that’d be awesome. (A Hyper SFIII would be interesting to see too). 20th SF anniversary is coming up, so you never know, they might do it. Its been awhile since we had New Generation and 2nd Impact on console. Double Impact was pretty good on the DC.
OK, thanks for clearing it up!
are you lot serious???
please tell me you lot arent being stupid again??
edit:its ok i read through the thread :wonder:
I just got the game today for xbox. Loving it, I’ve been onthe dreamcast version for years now.
I just had to spend an 20 minutes in parry training. Maybe it is my imagination, but parries seem so much more strict in the xbox verison of th game in comparision to the dreamcast version.
I miss how the music switched only between the rounds that was a cool effect
Loved the new remixed music in hyper street fighter 2 however.
DC version was great IMO even though it was based on Ver. B. I think the parrying timing in the xbox/ps2 and dc version differ due to the different versions of the game. My problem with the xbox version is getting used to playing SF on the 360 controller. Its gonna feel awkward and take some time to get used to.
True, The dpad is ass and is messing up my already bad execution
I am having a lot of problems with it registering “upforward” when trying to do anything. So instread of a DP I jump
I’m starting to think about getting the doa4 arcade stick. I could use it on my pc as well. It is about time I started to move away from pads.
