also wanna mention… you don’t have to keep your same characters for every tourny.
that’s true…but on the same token if you lose with a top tier to a low tier you should be QQ even more than a low tier would if he/she lost to a high tier. bad match up exists and at high level play are very noticable, even the japanese acknowledge that. But no low tier complains when they lose since it is expected.
why don’t we use nfba or at least use .119, shouldn’t we be moving forward not backward? But eventually we should move to nfba. Please do not follow the kaillera server kiddies, or appease them as well.
edit: nfba is alot better than mame input wise, just to let everyone know who is still using mame.

those who are still using mame get -1,000,000 points in my book. that shit is slow, random inputs happen, and eats your computer’s resources.
there’s simply no reason you shouldn’t be using nfba aside from the fact that you can’t set it up, in which i can help you.
the input delay in mame isnt as bad as people think it is… if you have your computer setup correctly.
i kara dp at 80% offline and on mame, i get it at like 20% on nfba… i get kara palm 95% offline and on mame… 30% on nfba.
nfba SEEMS to actually make the inputs read too quickly.

and i’m not making NFBA the default emu… if you wanna use it go ahead… but it will not be the default.
that doesn’t even make sense, the emu can’t read the input faster than you hit it. mame will miss inputs thats the major issue. I play a shit load of mame so I know.
most ppl agree that nfba is better its the ones that are on kaillera servers that don’t agree or refuse to change. But i thought we already established that kaillera server = garbage. The basis of comparison is .117 and only that, they most likely wont even dl nfba so they can’t really compare. Majority of the players on p2p have agreed that nfba is better.

I think the default emulator should be 119. 80% of the 3s players have 119 and for a good reason. The other 20% are the people who are stuck on godweapon and dont really care to much about 3s. So this type of thing isnt really for them anyway.Useing the more up to date emulators will bring a better crowd.
I do think NFBA feels alittle better then 119
its 1 frame worse on mame. and honestly that can make a huge difference especially when you consider cross country play where more input lag comes into play from online. read inputs too quickly is impossible. and my friend DannyL (who is an established tourney player) can kara palm 80% on nfba with no problem, he gets them just as consistenly offline as he does online. maybe your timing iss off and the 1 frame lag is helping you?who knows.

bottom line it should be a problem if both players agree on emu.

Count me in for this. I really do prefer nfba, especially for coast-to-coast, if this is really the question why not just put up a poll for the preferred client?

I tested both and I am agree with shodokan all the way about Mame. I tested both, but I found Mame worked better for me. The only thing is that it drop more often because it use too much ressource on my computer. No matter what, I got less lag on Mame than on nfba.
less lag is a bunch of bullshit. you are imagining things. its been tested that nfba lags less and actually doesnt lag at all. thats just funny to me. maybe your converter/pad/keyboard is just faulty
