Does anyone have any experience using the Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1 with the USB 3 Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host chipset? I know it’s been tested with Renesas, but just wondering if it works fine with the eXtensible.
That’s what I heard when I bought mine. It needs one or the other.
Do you have eXtensible, Smashbro? I’m not sure the deal on the USB chipsets, this is all mine says in the device manager: http://imgur.com/e1SOhDi
Not sure or if it’ll be compatible with the XCAPTURE-1 and I’m pretty hesitant to blow $300 without any idea if it’ll work or not.
I personally don’t have renesas or extensible on my motherboard so I had to buy a PCI USB card that had renesas.
Before I got it I was told to make sure I had one or the other.
I wouldn’t recommend it, it seems to struggle with getting smooth motion in my preview but I get no complaints.
I could be wrong about the USB thing, it might be the low bitrate I’m forced to use for streams.
Does this capture card work in windows 8? Or will there be tons of hoops to jump through?
Yeah it works in 8. Hell, most anything that works in 7 works in 8 just the same.
I’m considering just buying the XCAPTURE-1 and if it doesn’t work with my USB chipset then I’ll just buy a PCI-E Renesas USB chipset hub.
Hey guys, does anyone have any advice on how to work higher-end cameras into your setup? I’m not sure if I’d need substantial upgrades to my current setup or if it’s something I could accomplish with say, a few USB capture devices running through a hub.

I have a LGP and Elgato. Any way I can add overlay and text when streaming from a Mac?

Tried, Elgato was nowhere to be found in my list of devices, I heard that there were no drivers for Mac at this time. Maybe, I did it wrong.

Wirecast, but it’ll cost you.
xcapture-1 is the unique solution for streaming & recording Dreamcast with vgabox?
Hey guys, does anyone have experience using two PCI capture cards on the same PC? I’ve been told by multiple sources that you can use the C985 and C127 together in one PC, but every time I try to combine two cards one of them will always just have a black screen and not display any inputs unless I disable the other one. Using Win7 Ultimate 64-bit, most recent drivers on both.
Edit: Disregard my PC crashed then it all worked when it came back up because why not
To keep it brief: Since YT can take 60fps now I want to record in 1080p 60fps, but the Live Gamer Portable can’t do that. So I’m looking for a replacement I can use to record SFV CVs from PS4 in the future, maybe even my Omega Edition CVs from 360. Nothing fancy, just an external capture card able to record files in 1080p 60fps without severe lag on my screen. The only thing I’ve found that fit that bill so far is the Elgato Game Capture HD60. Is that a good option, or are there better ones? And does anyone know what file formats it can record in? My editing software is pretty picky, I can’t take the .ts files from the LGP for example, but the .mp4s work just fine.
HD60 is about the only 1080/60 thing out there right now to the best of my knowledge. I’m not sure if it does mp4 natively but Freemake Video Converter is pretty reliable for me to turn things to mp4 if needed. Also fwiw if you didn’t see it already, Aver put a utility to convert TS files to mp4, useful if you didn’t notice that you were recording in TS on your LGP until after the fact.
I haven’t noticed actually, thanks for the tip. The AVerMedia ExtremeCap U3 also records 1080p60fps from what I hear, but it has no HDMI-passthrough, requires specific USB 3.0 control units and leaves encoding and such to your computer, so I’m more interested in the ElGato.
Hello, having problems with the Live Gamer Portable. Windows can’t detect it. The LGP flashes blue.
I’ve tried:
3 different usb cables - no difference
downloading the drivers from the Avermedia Gamerzone website - Windows won’t attribute them to the LGP because it cannot detect it as an LGP
downloading the RECentral program (since it came with the drivers) - It also cannot detect the LGP
downloading the Windows Firmware - It also cannot detect the LGP

Please advise.
That’s really weird. Just tested mine to make sure it’s not some kind of universal issue, but mine works fine. Does the other mode (The no-PC mode, don’t know what it’s called since I never use it) work for you?
