The best adittion to a FG ever, it multiplies the metagame to the infinity, 3s gives you a good base at FGs.
THE ELUSIVE METAGAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
(spoilers:
nope)
I…
Man, fuck it, I’m not opening pandora’s box.
No, guys, here, if you don’t get it, I’ll explain why he’s right.
Metagame metagame metagame is metagame as metagame metagame metagame.
[S]almost[/S] funny, but true, take the advice
Strategy is where I recommend everyone should be, its a lot more needed in a game and is easier to pull off than execution
reading 3s discussions on SRK makes me want to punch people through the screen
I’m sure the metagame would parry it though
I’ll do it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Prove me wrong
[S]Protip: you can’t [/S]
You know… I love 3S…
But I’m SMH…
yea… this tread should really be closed before this 3s argument takes off.
Wut? That doesn’t even make sense.
Screw that. I wanna watch the WORLD BURN!!
I really don’t understand why wave-dashing exists in modern games. The designers having clearly made the restriction that dashes can’t be cancelled into each other to move quickly, and yet they’re completely aware that this can be circumvented by cancelling the motion with a down input. So, why restrict it in the first place, what’s the point? If you don’t want people to repeatedly dash then don’t let them, if you do, then do.
I’ve just picked up TTT2, first Tekken game in a looooong time and it seems I need to be able to backdash cancel just to move around quickly and be competitive. Obviously SRK hip-points awarded to all those ‘LOL just practise more scrub’ but why the hell would I want to spend time practising some goofy motion just to make my character move quickly. May as well make jumping a QCF motion while we’re at it.
Just shut up you bring nothing new to the table. More movement options are a good thing.
I’m not sure I understand your counter argument old bean. You wouldn’t mind elaborating somewhat, would you? I’m frightfully sorry.
That had absolutely nothing to do with what he said.
This is kinda something I’ve wondered. I’m not necessarily against the ability to wave dash, but I’ve always wondered why they’d put it there if you can’t cancel dashes into dashes. If they wanted faster movement options and put in wave dashes for that, why not just take out dashes and put in a run? Wave dashes move more or less at the same speed anyway (keep in mind the more or less).
The movement system in Tekken is the movement system in Tekken it’s crucial part of the game and is, IMO, the main thing you must have down for the game. Personally I prefer the movement in VF5:FS even if there isn’t as many movement options as there were in previous VFs and Tekkens due to the fact that in Tekken, 1 rep of BDC( bb, d\b, bb) goes just as far as tapping bb in VF.
Some people like the extra inputs some don’t.
I used to wonder why other games don’t follow suit with VF and let you string together and mix-n-match Option Selects into each other, but sometimes things are just there, or aren’t, just because the designers don’t feel it’s part of the game.
I find 3s way easier to play than AE, but then maybe that’s cuz I grew up on 2d sprite games. Could be the reverse if SFIV was genuinely your first fighter. If you want super cool execution heavy classic Capcom, take V-Mika for a spin.
VF? I’m doing 50% life-bar combos in that now on a 3 button MadCatz with a JLF no sweat. But trying to roll heavier Sak tech on AE? Forgeddit.
