Actually I just getting back into poker after calling it quits for a while. I like mahjong a lot more than poker but it’s not often i get to play mahjong since no one under 30 plays it.:lame:
Well, an estimate would be around 15 people so far, if all confirmations have been true. My younger brother’s a simple guy so he’s open to anything and he’s grateful for any gift he receives as well. Thank you for even bringing up the idea that your wife could whip something up, that would be nice and would take some pressure off of me. Any possibility that would make everyone’s stomach more fillin’, i’m all for it.

1030, 1100pm? Ouch, i’m sure it’ll end before then. Paul himself has to wake up the next morning at 7am just to go to work, and i’ve got work at 1230pm Saturday.
Yeah that is pretty late, we’re starting it at 5pm…get a little grub n everyone would prob be practicin’ SF IV with one another …n prob begin the initiation of the tournament 'round 6pm, shouldn’t last more than 2 hours or so.
With Daryl’s suggestion of using the backroom with the 2nd TV and Poker room, i guess you could say there’s always somethin’ to compete at.
Last time, we did play until 1am or so (n i usually sleep ‘round 3-4am every night), but i don’t wanna overdo it for Paul’s birthday. Just gonna get together n have some fun, eat some food, drink a little…n gettin’ to no the game community.

My older brother took his 30 minutes n made this for us (graphic designer)…been getting quite a number of phone calls and aim messages about the party, i think we’ve went over the cap LOL. Let’s see how it turns out, n keep in mind this is Paul’s birthday party n focus on showing hospitality to one another as a community. (I’ll emphasize more on this Friday).
Another update/note:
The backroom will be the main area for everyone. Both TVs will be in the backroom and the backyard (which is kinda huge) will hold the poker players. I was talking to Paul about it and this way, it would be less stressful for our parents and siblings to navigate through the house without any trouble.
My only concern is allowing every one a seat…so for me right now, i’m just wingin’ it…i know i got enough for 20 buddies, but sitting on the floor isn’t too bad either. Alternating chairs is another thing. At a real tournament, you never get to sit…but i think as a community, we could work this out together without any problems.
Oh yeah, about that beer, you better show ID that you’re 21 and older…and i recommend a designated driver. Yes, yes, i know…“why you gotta tell us that for?”…‘cuz i’m damn responsible for what goes on, that’s why n it’s something u gotta say when you’re hostin’ something like this…
