Rex- as always a good set of games. Thanks for punishing my free foot dives. Made me think of other ways to get in with doom. I’m happy that I got one TOD combo on you, could of had more but I was too greedy for maximum damage. I feel like I have a new mindset with Dante, just getting as much shit on the screen and frame trapping you with reverb shock… seemed to work haha. GGs man!

the 4th has been changed after reviewing and discussing with luger. 5th is still up for grabs. luger is gonna pick the 5th on how he thinks the player is over the course from now til max out and not just how someone does in 1 night like KC is with some wacky round robin. we will also run round robins for the last spot. winning them will highly favor you in the team, but winning doesnt mean an auto shoe in. we’ll be looking for more than just who wins or looses. we’ll be looking for even the small stuff like who whiff punishes the best, crispy links (not dropping combos), ground game, meter management, reactions, keeping composure during clutch moments, etc. they will also effect who makes the last spot. to reiterate: just cuz you win the RRs doesnt guarantee the last spot tho it does help ALOT :).
rex, luger, and i will help all the candidates with match ups and general gameplay during the process of picking a fifth as much as we can so that way anyone that luger picks is ready for the 5 v 5. regardless who we do or dont pick, still keep the fire and desire BURNING! as rex would say, its the singles that count. mr k - i like how you make me guess with seth. here’s some advice tho, don’t try to uppercut too early as a guessing game, for example, let’s say you do dp fadc dp. and i blocked the first dp, you start your dp motion too early “sometimes”, i can hear it and i know that i should block. so i guess try be more on point with the timing and speed of how you execute a DP to make me guess. and with this post, i admitted i listen to button presses.

Last night was a lot of fun. Boo to Kaylen for not bringing out HNK … JJJ had tears in his eyes all night. (I’m sure you had something important come up though … and we can’t hate on you too hard since we’re able to use your awesome cabinet!). Speaking of which Alpha 2 was more hype than expected, at least for a 4 person tournament! Good shit to Rex and Killshot for two killer matches in there. Honorable mention to Prof Lex for adapting mid-match to beat my sorry ass.
Big thanks to AKS for coming out last night. That ridiculous first to ten / mostly randoms was so much fun. Even though you’ve been away from SF for a while and were rusty… it was fun playing someone with such solid fundamentals. Every match I had to be on my A game, even if you didn’t know the character you were playing very well at all.
@ Loli-Zero… Sick matches last night. I took what I learned from the last time we played (several months ago) and tried to apply it to this match and it worked! I know you’re not too comfortable with the Bison match so we’ll be needed to get some grind time in soon to work on that.

Chris, is it possible that we can play the VS tournament on the 26th on like, a laptop setup? The bat tops feel weird and a lot of people don’t like them and the octagonal gate isn’t what people are used to.
