I’m no slouch with the girl myself… I originally picked her up because lag in t5: DRO made king impossible to play, so I switched to her for online. After I realized just how nasty her crushing game is, I developed a style entirely around it.

There is no safe way to attack the girl, almost anything you do she can get a launch out of. Doesn’t matter if she’s -8, it’s still risky to attack her. She also has an extremely sweet poke game, a nasty CH game, a few good safe launchers, a homing move that’s + on block, a good throw game…

Her only weakness is her block punishment.

Probably won’t have any free weekends till mid-December. This is crunch time as far as my grades are concerned. I might get more serious next year when I have a bit more time and money though.

So I basically just have to learn when to block and punish it? Does she have slow recovery? Or do I have it backwards and she’s bad at punishing others?

Yep, you have it backwards, she’s weak at punishing others. She’s pretty safe herself, and has several traps to trick you into eating a crush launcher. :bgrin:

To give you an idea on her punishment…

-10 all she gets is a single jab
-11 all she gets is a single 4
-12 all she gets is d/b+1_d/f+4_b+1+4
-13 she gets 2,3
-14 she gets 3,1(although 2,3 is usually better for the KD)
-15 d/f+2

Yeah, her punishment is horrible up to -15, where she gets d/f+2. Where most characters have a beefy -12 she gets at best b+1+4. That poor punishment is enough though to hurt her tier rating though, not that tiers really matter in T6.

Seeing if there is any interest in a hook up at my place either tonight (sunday), or monday. I live in the south city area (63109). Possible problems, only have 1 decent tv + xbox but no sf4 disc.

I also have a computer with a 22 inch screen to run sf4 on ( i own a copy of it). With one of those mame type joysticks (all happ parts with 2 sets of joysticks /buttons.

So , let me know, the place is pretty chill. Will probably get some beers and it will be 420 friendly.

Oh, who wants to meet up at midrivers tilt today? The SF4 machine in MidRivers is off the hook. Way cheaper than if it was a real arcade machine, and it has the console characters. Buttons are great, and the sticks are pretty good. Good games tonight Brandon, hopefully the USB ports will let you plug a pad in too.

I played on it a bit today. I don’t like the button layout. Also, the stick felt a bit stiff. It’s probably only because I’m so used to my own stick, as I didn’t have much trouble getting moves off once I got used to it.

I don’t get to the mall very often, but I’ll be sure to swing by the arcade when I do.

It seems to be the same parts found in a Tekken 5 DR machine. They’re pretty good. The original layout they had set is awkward (Hori FS3 type of layout) but at least you can change them to your liking. I didn’t even really notice the USB ports until rex pointed them out lol. So the next time I go up there, which may be tomorrow or Tuesday), I’ll check if it will work with a 360 pad, a Xconverter, and if it will let you use your own stick…just in case people would prefer it over the parts already in the cab. I like the set up. The price is good too. 8 minutes per dollar. 40 minutes for $5. Or if you just cheap as shit, 25 cents = 2 minutes. So its kind of like 50 cents per fight somewhat. Not bad IMO. Better than $1.50 per play in Tekken 6. But yea, if you can make it out, plz do. They didn’t have to put a cabinet in so lets show them that it wasn’t a waste. If you want to go, just post up that you are goin and I’m sure if they can people will show up.

SF4 tournament this saturday, sign ups start at 5 pm. Its $5 to enter, with $2 per person to feed into the machine. I know its short notice, but hopefully we can get 6-10 people together and playing. One machine tournaments are realy hype too, everyone one watches every match…so theirs a heightened level of excitement for everyone. Anyone who beats me I will pay back your entry fee too(excluding glen). This tourny will run much much faster than the larger aerial raves, were talking an 1 1/2-2 hours at most. So there will be plenty of time left for casuals. There are USB hookups for the machine too, so i think you should be able to use your own stick or pad…not 100% tested on this however. The sticks are good though.

Any new stl players lurking on these boards should check it out.

Aw dammit rex! I told you I had to work on Saturday! lol Anyway, I’ll probably be going up there later today to see if pads, sticks, and converters work. I think it should though. I’d actually would be surprised if they didn’t since it is a 360 cab. I mean, if not, then what are the USB ports there for?..OMG!!! CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS BABY!!! THAT I do doubt though since I didn’t see a Xbox button. If this goes well in all, ya think they may pop in a Tekken 6 PS3/360 cab? If so, hopefully the Tekken crew will come out often.

Apparently, even though there are USB ports, you can’t use anything but what is provided. I tried a 360 controller, my Xconverter, and 360 SE stick and got nothing. I didn’t see anyone on duty so I didn’t get to ask about it. Despite that, the stick and buttons work fine. I unlocked Akuma and Gouken while I was there so Seth is now the only one who needs to be unlocked. Here’s some pics of the cabinet for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

Any interest in continuing AR monthlies at a place in O’Fallon, IL for next year? About the same size as Ogre’s and about as far away from STL as Collinsville is. Place also has a couple old-school cabs, food/drink, and a projection screen. Not too shabby. I can make it happen, so let me know what the interest is.
