Any chance you guys are out there at places with monitors, if you happen to find a steal, let me know. I found a decent deal on a 20 incher, but I’m gonna hold out to see if I can find a bit bigger one. Hope I don’t get burned in the process.

Is the monitor any good? Im lookin as well. All i see i may get is a 23" Lg monitor at office depot for $200. 2ms refresh rate but no speakers.
EDIT: About to get a 24" Viewsonic vx2439wm lcd monitor for $200 at Microcenter. 1080p, 2ms, integrated speakers, 30 Day return policy. Will bring it to the hook up tonight for testing. Damn this line is long. There is also a 27" version of it for $300 and has 1 ms response time. Cant afford it atm though
I can’t remember, but I’m pretty sure Viewsonics can be a little laggy. As far as brands to trust, I believe that Hanns G and Asus are the ones to wholeheartedly trust. But I suppose we’ll find out about yours tonight. Wish I could be there first hand to help test it, but I picked up an extra shift tonight.
Also, that monitor I picked out turned out to be a bust. No hdmi input. Not buying a monitor at this day without one. Kinda silly really.
Mr. K- If you’re talking about Acer, they’re not so reputable either when it comes to input lag. It varies from set to set. So, good luck with that. Hopefully it’s a winner.

Okay, Koga got a new monitor. Mr. K, did you end up getting one from Micro Center? I personally wouldn’t go with Acer, but there are some good reviews from gamers on some of the monitors. So I suppose we’ll see. I also hope you got one with hdmi. That’s what stopped me from getting this '19 from newegg.com. It only had vga and dvi. That’s a bit too vintage imo. But it’s a headache if you’re a ps3 owner.
I ended up getting this hanns g. 23 inches for $140 on newegg. Best deal I could find. And it expired Sunday. So I’m gonna be pissed if there’s a better deal on Cyber Monday.
Koga, if for any reason you wanna save $60 and get the Hanns G, it’s on newegg.com. They were going pretty fast, so make your mind up quickly, assuming it already isn’t.
edit:appears they also have the evo monitor for sale for $149 ($129 after a mail in rebate). Fat chance anyone actually mails in a $20 rebate.
