Rex-Slips has some good points, though. Would you be willing to help me on my footsies by playing some footsie only matches with me? That may sound corny, but I’m serious. I wanna get better with my footsies with Cammy and Ryu/Ken, and a little Guile as well. Here’s the format. No specials, so no dps, headbutts, turn punches, yada yada. You can only use normals, FAs, and throws. And you can only jump in after a knockdown. I think it’d be interesting. Hell, maybe even fun as well. But I’m sure it could help me.

Mute- I think we should do this during our sessions as well. I know I can get jump happy with you at times. I know the repetition could help both of us. Anyone else willing to try it out with (or without obviously) me is welcome as well.

Scamp- I was REALLY looking forward to our MM. I know it was late, so of course I’m not complaining. That shit ran hella late. But I was so focused on our match that I may have let focus in other matches slip. No excuses on my losses though.

My point is, I don’t wanna wait til AR to get it on. We both live in St. Chuck. Maybe we can work something out. Maybe we can play at Kiet’s or something Thursday, if he’s happening to be having a hookup. I’d only be there for that MM, though. Hell, AR could be where we run it back lol. Now obviously if we can’t work something out, then AR is fine. Just sayin’…

anyone wanna play a very specific match with me? rules!!

1. you can only jump after a fireball has been thrown
2. you can’t use a medium attack until an opponent has thrown a hard attack.
3. you can only focus medium or hard attacks on the ground. can’t focus as anti air or fireballs.
4. you can only backdash once a round
5. you need to throw out at least 5 normals every 10 seconds.

the point of this is to work on footsies and learning to play by a specific set of rules outside the game mechanics.

edit - i think some of these rules matches are character dependant. if someone mained fuerte, they’d be screwed. no specials? some characters would actually benefit. again, no specials, id pick sim and claw all day. d/f + rh. since you arent allowed to dp, the guessing game is horrible. either tech the throw or get hit with jump back fp. free snipes for sim.

It wasn’t that there wasn’t enough effort. It was because EVERYONE had a reason to go first.

We all need to realize that this starts at 7 and can end around 11. Everyone is going to have a reason to get home as soon as the next man. Everyone there either has a curfew, school the next morning, work in a couple hours or the next morning, or something else (except for Gllty; ha! =D)

There should be no more prioritizing yourself over anyone else before the RR. If you want to get out of the there quickly, like everyone else does, either put your ass in an empty seat, or put someone else’s ass in the empty seat next to you and keep it moving. Don’t be so concerned about your gauntlet running congruent to someone else’s gauntlet. You see someone you haven’t played, sit next to them or call next. WE ALL WANNA GO HOME THEREAFTER ASAP!!!

That won’t work for dhalism/bison lol. I’m down with these rules for fun beside rule 2. STL players all lack footsies. You might want to change focus through fireballs. It might be good for buildiing ultra, getting in… With these no jumping , JJJ is free. haha
