If anyone cares, the vga thing hit a snag. It turns out that the Mayflash connector is female, and the connector on my tv is female, so now I have to wait til my converter comes and hope it works. I also found a hdmi/vga converter cord, so we’ll see which arrives, first, and then see which works best. We’ll see. Man, I’ll be glad to just have the solution at hand, and get this behind me.

It’s not so far. I live in St. Peters and work downtown STL, so I know the trip pretty well. 
As for ordering this sort of stuff online (cables, connectors, etc.), you should always check monoprice.com.
