I kinda think i can make it out to this… Would be nice.
Because this is a new venue, the range of skill is going to be very wide.
As for myself, I suck. …
Hahaha, alright I’ll take your word for it. Also just thought I’d throw out that we should keep a list of who is bringing what?
anyway the time can be pushed back just a tad bit? I live an hour away
They finally posted my schedule and ill be in attendance along with the rest of the corps.
I can start the tournament at 12 and casuals from like 10-11:45 if that’s fine… I guess… I’ll see if everyone is fine with it.
Heads up, the tournament will be starting @ 11:15AM, sharp, casuals are from around 10-11AM. See you guys then!
looks like i wont be able to make it sadly i work and can’t get off that early, never heard of a tourney starting at 11 am in the morning but i guess
Bah! It’s in Roseville! I’ll have to find a way to get a ride over there.
What part of Sac do you live in? I might be able to carpool people, depending where you live. I live in Citrus Heights.
Oh snap saka hosting his own shit now. I’ll there, aint played in the sac area in a lil bit.
I live in the Arden area. Specifically, right off of Fulton Ave.
Hrmmm… I don’t mind giving you a ride if you still don’t have a way to get there. PM me and we’ll talk about it.
Hey saka, just a piece of advice and my 2 cents, but if I was hosting a tourny, I would definitely not start it before 12PM. If you look at Gamestop as an example, the majority of their tournaments start in the afternoon, like 2PM. If you’ve got someone, for example, slap-a-hoe willing to drive an hour just to participate, I would try my best to push it back a little. If you look at The City tournies in Elk Grove, Romeo starts them at 2:30PM. I’m just saying. Anything before 12PM is just too early, especially for gamers! I can’t make this one but hopefully I’ll get a Saturday off and if I’m off I’ll be there for sure. But hopefully I won’t have to be there at 11AM.
Seconded. If you can get future tournaments to start later, that’d be great, and I’m almost positive you’ll regularly get a higher turnout. When I first started City, I also wanted to start around 12pm-1pmish, but the general consensus was either “too early” or “I can’t make it”. Plus, people usually sleep in on Saturday, so you have to account for that. City usually closes at 5pm, but I talked to the owner and he had no problem with us saying later.
Loads of factors, man.
I can understand about this concern but, in the end, the time for the this particular venue is pretty packed.
Can’t do it later, the A-1 Comics also run a lot of TCG games (e.g. Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic) @ 4:30PM on the weekend, and I didn’t want to schedule a tournament on a Friday because of Hot Shots. Weekdays are out of the question because of everyone having work or school.
I’ll see if next time I can schedule a later time, because, I too believe that this is a pretty early time to start a tournament, but because of the A-1 Comic’s time constraint, this was the only time I could fit it in to. I’m thinking on a Friday when Hot Shots is not running.
Sound reasoning. I’ll try to make it next Saturday.
Okay, hope to see you then!
I’ll try and find a way there. If it doesn’t seem like a possibility, then I’ll drop you a PM in a few days.
hey saka… i may make it out from the bay area to this. i got EU in berkely in the evening… so if this ends at like 330 i should be good to go to this. ill be repping the sak
