Thanks a lot for the links as well. I have been browsing that site since you posted.
For the most part, yes. From what I understand for the converters your best bet is to get a Pelican PS2-PS3 converter. It is recognized as a USB joystick on the PC. However if you want real arcade controls on a PC then go with the sellers I stated above. They are who I would go to if I were to build you a stick for the PC. Spend a lot of time reading the arcadecontrols.com forums if you want to build your own. They also have a wiki dedicated to the hobby.

There are companies that make sticks specifically for the PC. My company being one of them. Though I donโt advertise it. We do a lot of custom stick builds for customers. Using the iPac arcade to PC interface that can be used via USB or PS/2. If you want to build one yourself, you can buy an iPac from http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html
www.slikstik.com is a company that specializes in PC sticks.
You can always check out www.arcadecontrols.com and build one yourself if you want. If you donโt have the woodworking resources, you can also design a custom stick and have it cut at www.mameroom.com or I can also cnc cut.
Just some more options for you
Good Luck.
