Sticks for Joy: Charity Sticks (Pre-order SFJ shirts!)

Damn good job! Congrats to the lucky winner!!!

I have no idea who that is, but congratulations nonetheless.

You got a decent amount to go to charity. That’s nice. Now the next one needs to raise at least $3000 as a goal as it should be open to the entire internet. You might have gotten more sales if you got front page.

No clue who that is but they just got a hell of a stick. Also a pretty nice haul for the charity.

We did get some people who came to us asking if we are Sticks For Joy.
So that was cool.

AWESOME!!! Congratulations guys!

Considering it’s a two day sales it was a pretty nice mark!

Congratulations. $1,620 is more than I was realistically expecting.

Whoever Ray Myers is, he just got one hell of a stick.

Glad to hear it all worked out in the end. Kudos to everyone involved.

Huzzah!!!

That’s an excellent amount! Now you can get a letter from the charities to prove that they were donated to, so that this project can see the front page of SRK.

It deserves to get publicity!

I don’t know how things work in the US, but here charities provide a receipt of donation.

Congrats to the winner! I’m glad everything turned out for you guys. A LOT of work went into that stick. It really sucks I wasn’t able to buy tickets. I wanted to contribute somehow. I missed it. Streamers couldn’t buy any tickets? I was watching quite a bit. I set aside money for it and everything… Oh well. I’m really happy that it was a success, though. You guys got quite a bit raised! Still feel kinda bad, though.

Tickets were only for sale at Evo this time round, so no need to feel bad. I believe they did the draw on the stream, even if no one saw it as they went to a commercial. I didn’t not see it myself as I wimped out and went to bed at about 4am and it was on a little later than that.

In Canada you have to donate a minimum of 20 dollars to get a receipt, probably the same in the U.S.

Well, I guess it will not be a problem then

Just got on WiFi for the first time at the Las Vegas airport. Took a taxi by myself for the first time. First time was a taxi with Andreas and a girl he was on a flight with to our hotels.

Also, correction about winner, “Ray Meyers”, I just remembered the phonetic name and told jdm714 that.

Thank you for sending me, Tech Talk. We definitely did a great job, $1620 raised. That’s just awesome. I hoped for $1000, to show we were serious. Glad we got to be on stage. I was going to take VOLTECH with me, but he was nowhere to be found. He deserved a spot up there. I feel that the commercial break was because they didn’t know what was going to happen. I might have frozen. I did stumble a little on words, but those there can say it went pretty well. Getting in on stage was huge, and to raise so much money was excellent. Honestly, publicity was my first goal, money was second, as more will easily be raised through being publicized. I think Front Page will be easy soon. I also think $3000 next time isn’t too unreasonable. The majority of purchasers were walk-ups. Once we have a name going for ourselves, we’ll pull in plenty of people in anticipation.

I wasn’t going to forget to get an official document. I know it’s the easy route for gaining trust. I’ll try to have it as soon as possible. I was thinking $1500 to Red Cross Japan, while keeping $120 to pay for registration, which is $100 registration and $40 newspaper printing. I may actually hire a lawyer to get us going and official. Might cost a bit, but I’m not going to donate any less than $1500. Promise I’ll figure it out. I’ll just have to talk about pricing, and I’ll have some spending money after I’m refunded for my financial aid. I usually spent it on some stick stuff, but I’ll just have to build one less stick. XD

Gummowned provided the RJ45 USB for the Winner right?
Nerrage, give me the address to ship the other RJ45 to.

You got pizza the second day too?
Laugh.

Man, purplearms was there?

I felt it would be one of the Cannon to help us.

Toodles did some stripping wires?

Yes. I have his address, but I want to email and confirm it. Yes, Gummowned provided RJ45 USB.

Toodles stripped a USB wire with his teeth and plugged it in and connected the wires directly to a KNsert to show its functionality.

i wanted to win that thing lol…ah wells, gs team tech talk!

Oh that’s right because he has fangs.

What? I thought I was going to be “Opened his big mouth somehow got this thing started” seeing as Nerrage started this after a random comment of mine.
