dont be afraid to speak to people. if they’re better than you it wont hurt to ask them questions. if they see you really wanna get better, more often than not, they’ll help you out. just play as many people as you can, and look into trying to play online. it’ll help you cover the basics.
I think 99% of the people in this thread would kill to live as close to family/denjin as you do. you just have to go play A LOT and learn how 3s works as a game. also learn from your mistakes/losses. watch a lot of videos and learn what your character is capable of and not capable of.

I think a lot of people who play SF don’t have friends who they see on a day to day basis that play SF, myself included. You have no disadvantage there. Just talk to people at FFA, ask questions etc. Before you know it, you’ll have quite the network of friends from arcades all over socal. Having a gimmicky appearance helps.

Ouch…On that note, listen to Cynistar. It is crucial for you to let yourself be known to the community, Kid Krush. I too am going through this myself at my local arcade (CF), and trying to assimilate isn’t as hard as you may think.
What you can do, and what I did a while back when I really did suck hard, was just go up the the players while they weren’t playing and just watching, and introduce yourself as the newbie. What I told them was," You know those guys that do nothing but jump in round house, crouching roundhouse, and then get totally destroyed by a super combo for the punish? That’s me :wgrin:".
Whats the worst that can happen? They’ll easily understand you since they too were like that at one time. Plus, its not like you can’t talk or relate to them about anything. Your both at the arcade, playing 3S, looking to have a good time.
Once you do start getting better better and they start seeing your progress, you’ll only feel more motivated capable of getting better. I remember when I first started hitting strong,fierce,fireball,super with Ken, I totally surprised the people that saw how I played at first, and they all told me how much progress I made. Granted, I’ve only been seriously playing 3S for about a month, so hitting that consistently just makes me light up.

it’s cool that your going to start doing podcasts about sf4 but most people haven’t had a chance to play it yet and most likely won’t be able to start playing it until early next year. will there be anymore 3s related podcasts until then?
Yeah but then it only downloads the latest episode, I’m looking to download the earlier episodes in the same format.
I really enjoyed the Zak/Kai/Naz episode, looking forward to hearing the rest

After you’re subscribed, you’ll see the list of episodes and next to each one is a button that says “Get.” Just click each one of those or the one that says “Get All” on top and that’ll download all of them.
On a side note, I just did a 2 hour show with kofiend where we talked SBO, Japan, 3s and SF4. So that should be up pretty soon.
