Trip to Massystems #3, “Meeting the massman, himself”
Seeing as how no one’s posted in a while, I’ll tell you guys a story. Today I decided to get my masstick fixed and finally put back my PS2 cord. I called the place earlier to make sure that they were gonna be open, letting them know that I was leaving West Covina at about 5:15. They said they’d wait for me and I thought to myself “NICE!!” So I drive down there with my girlfriend thinking to myself “I’ll never make it there on time…$hit…”, after taking 35 minutes to get passed Edison field (damn Angels game), I finally get there at about 6:15 (after a U-turn or two).
And out comes this dude who I didn’t see the last 2 times I was there, and this dude actually spoke English to my astonishment…last time, only the lady did. The guy was Mr Mass himself, Thao Nguyen, and I was actually shocked thinking to myself…I thought the lady ran this joint (turns out to be his wife) I actually felt like I was in the presence of the most important man to all of the fighting game fanatics in the US. I kept thinking to myself, “it’s cuz of this dude, people actually get to practice at home using a real stick” (no offense to your agetec ace, I got one too :karate: )
Then he went on about his philosophies on life:

All in all, good advice to know, I guess. But after a while of listening to what we should do with our lives, the dude finally finished my stick, tested it, and hooked me up with a fresh paint job, all the while continuing how we should keep in mine that we should say “F@#$ you all!! This is my life!!” to everything around us and how we should trust his word. I left the place having a totally different “whoa” feeling I had when I first met him. Then I really started to book it when I saw an orange used condom next to what seemed to be his van. GGPO

Sir Bryan: do you know how much it is to get a 360 stick. What if I trade in my 8-point? What’s the address/number for that place?
He said that he’s really considering to stop selling the P 360 because it gets too much of a hassle. Customers ask for a 360, he puts it in, he gets it back when he find out its the defective one, puts a new one back, and he said he’s tired of getting the hassle from a busted product that’s not his.
