I bet anything there going to add that new race thats Half-zerg Half-Protoss, if you know the story. Ill play it has long as they dont add heroes like in wc3 were you have to level up. I want to play a War/strat game not a rpg.
Well, if you go to the official site - all thats up are protoss items - meaning they have been flushing them up ‘first’ and mroe than liley the larger terran and zerg changes wil lbe unveiled at a later date.
I’m sorta in line with you, I might look at upgrading for this one - and I’m NOT fond of doing that. BTW…

perhaps. it was implied on the secret level that duran was a xel naga and he was creating a new race of zerg toss hybrids. pretty sweet
maybe theyll make xel naga playable too
lol, the Zealot bumrush skill is actually really, really good.
Zealots used to just be meat to get inside, now they can actually do some actual good.
One thing I am worried about is that, in one of the screenshots, you only see like, a few mineral mines and like…6 SCVs…I don’t know how that’s really going to work out, but oh well.
Man, I love how Blizzard really did a damn good job on detailing every single thing.
When you unload units from those Protoss shuttles, they actually seem to “warp” down. It’s the little things like that that makes me love Blizzard even more.
Well, Kerrigan is obviously gonna be in here, then there’s a new Raynor-esque guy, it looks really good overall.
One thing, overall though, is i’m hoping for balance like in SC1. I find SC to be the most balanced game i’ve ever played. In WC3, there is a lot of imbalances and race counters that make it a bit less enjoyable to play.
A decade of wait and a little more. I rarely ever buy games, but Starcraft 2 is definitely going to be the first non-fighter I’m dropping cash on without a second thought as soon as I see it drop onto the shelf.
Looks like its going to be more like wc3 in some ways. Which isn’t a bad thing, I doubt it’ll be as balanced as the 1st one. But good none the least

Yeah it looks WAY broken, but but but…he mentioned giving the ship extra energy so it could use the black hole - it has those abilities, but how frequently can it use them. Would be nice to recall it though…blackhole a control group of wraiths/Valks/BCs, then get recalled back to safety.
Scourges will prolly eat it alive - its anti air defense seems weak sauce.

For those worried about the food limit, a screenshot of a protoss HUD shows their current limit at 170 or so. So, yeah, I expect the limit to be at 200 at least, giving us those massive armies of death that WC3 so cruely took from us.
Probably going to be unbalanced as fuck when it comes out… gonna take a few patches to make it even most likely.
I’m curious as to what the ‘mega’ units are for the rest of the races. If there’s only a 1 per army limit (which is interesting), I really wonder what the Terran/Zerg ones are. I mean, you saw a bunch of Battlecruisers already, so that can’t be it… maybe it’ll be like the grandfather of all battlecruisers, lol.
Probably one of my dislikes is that the graphics are too clean and reminiscent of Warcraft 3’s “shiny” look. I believe Starcraft was better meant to have a dirtier grittier look. I loved the way the 2D sprites had marines explode into pools of blood and the most satisfying death animation ever being the Hydralisk death. So far right now though, Zealot death animations are damn awesome. If they could level up the death animation for the Marines that would be awesome, but from what I’ve pieced together after reading through Blizzard’s site… The death animations of certain units seem to be a bit more “dynamic” with the use of Havok’s physics engine.
Also anybody else feel the BCs for Terrans are way too small? I honestly would have liked the BC to be grander in scale. The Protoss units are huge now and it seems the Immortals (Dragoon replacement) were placed in to make stuff like Flanking and Pinch maneuver strategies more useful. I too would have rather seen Dragoons as well, especially a new animation for the goon getting wrecked and all that blue liquid spilling out and possibly the crippled warrior inside just sliding out too. Visual stimulation for the win.
