I’ll make this post, the first official complaint: Is it me or is it VERY similar to SC1? Maybe it’s just me, I was expecting a huge style and graphical evolution, instead it’s SC with WC3’s engine.
Either way, I did cream my pants and will be watching this game with hawk eyes.

Daemos, I doubt they’d risk one of their flagship titles by messing with it much. Think about it, Starcraft is the quintessential ‘tournament RTS’. Anywhere with pc game tournaments that include RTS, have Starcraft. If they mess up that formula, they mess up that stranglehold. There are other RTS games that have hit tournament quality, CnC, DoW, but very limitedly.
My biggest complaint is the view. Even in that video, I felt like I was crushed against the field. I guess I’ve been spoiled by RTS games that allow you to zoom out.

I watched the Terren intro…if you look close they show Kerrigan *she’s the only female zerg I know of

no diablo 3 so i really don’t care. i was a big wc2 nut and didn’t really dig wc3, nor did i play sc. this might get checked out.
lol, when I saw the “Hell, it’s about time” on the SC2 website, I just started to laugh.
I think Protoss seem to have a bit of an advantage, but also a smaller disadvantage at the same time. They don’t have a regular cloaked unit since Dark Templars are now turned into year 3000 looking cars that can teleport, but it looks really, really nice.
I can’t wait to see the Terran and Zerg units.
Also, it looks like WC3, but with SC units. It looks good, i’m hoping the story will be great. I replayed the story on BroodWar a lot because it was so good.

Well, let me apologize… You are right, it definately looks way too similar to SC1… They just simply added a fresh coat of paint. I’m still excited though.
Been waiting about 9 years for this…i’m on the bandwagon for SC2.

thats good. they shouldnt really mess with core gameplay. the original sc was pretty well balanced. it was truly a thing of beauty. oh sure, terran is supposed to have a very good matchup against zerg, but it wasnt anything ridiculous like the gap between say, Ryu vs Cable.
