Well the fungal change is really going to affect medi-drops.

It means zerg will be hard pressed to stop drops; I like fungal for drops because it takes foresight (having the infestors in place) and micro to pull off, and its so much harder to stop than it is to pull off. Now its just going to be about having mutas to intercept the drops which is harder
Finally, a patch where I agree with almost everything done. Except for the change to the Infestor’s Fungal Growth, I don’t quite understand the reasoning to that. Having Fungal Growth not hit air will hurt Zerg against drops which is something their already vulnerable to. Not to mention the decreased build time on Phoenixes will only attribute to the problem. Well I can’t expect Blizzard to do so many good things and not fuck up somewhere, so it’s all good.
They also changed the collision boxes for ramps, not sure if you guys noticed, but you can no longer pylon the bottom of a ramp with 2 pylons; Im sure it effects terran bottom ramp wall ins too Im just not quite sure how
Today I decided to change the way I play SC2. I’ve conciously made the decision to learn some build orders and to ease off a bit on playing willy nilly, with no idea of what I wanted to do or where I was going with the game. Basically, I’ve been practicing a roach build, where I mass 11 roaches early in the game (before the 5 min mark), then attack/transition/whatever. It’s been working a little so far, but I am very rusty at it.
It’s like playing SF where I try to use the arcade stick but find it difficult at first, but slowly enjoy it over time. I’ll try and learn a few builds and see where it takes me.

I wish they would add a fix where if your partner drops in a 2v2 ranked match early in the game, no one is rewarded for the win/loss of the round. I am tired of that happening to me D:
Dayum, alright so first of all, anybody who wants to know why I hate T, watch the NesTea vs Rain series. Theres no downside to the bunker push, with salvage it makes it entirely risk free (well, way more risk free than it needs to be). Make Salvage return 50% or something, otherwise we’ll just keep seeing BS like this. Even though the queen should have stayed to kill that SCV, and it might have changed the outcome in that last game, the terran marine rush is just too frustrating.
Also, no race should be able to pull all their workers and keep their economy competitive via mules, fucking T.
However… watching FruitDealer lose to P was very awesome. The DT rush in the last game was fucking sick, punishing his opponent for knowing he likes to go late lair. That was really sweet, because it hardly ever works, so when it does its really, really sweet. The Void Ray play in the other games were sweet too, holding that rush on Blistering Sands was awesome. I’m really glad I ate my words on P being too terrible to be competitive, I’m now holding out hope for a TvP finals. HongUnPrime vs Jinro. PvP would be boring but I’d love some P representation.
Gotta start applying some of what I’m seeing to my games more often, because P is looking less one dimensional than I thought

i still think protoss suck tho. the void ray flux vanes nerf makes no sense.
ramp nerf also makes no sense. doing the ramp wall off only works in lower levels, and yes its an easy autowin for P, but at higher levels, all the zergs patrol the bottom of their ramp specifically to stop shit like that. relying only on that strat and hoping the Z doesn’t know how to respond only makes P a bad player, because he will lose when the wall off is correctly prevented, just like relying only on a 4 warp gate.

too much hate for rain winning on TL. they should play some shitty game like 3rd strike and cry more. perhaps they have never heard of playing to win. its like crying because justin wong turtles a lot. it wins. so what if its boring. blame the game designer not the player. at least blizz can patch its games, whereas cvs2 and 3s are forever going to boring broken snooze fests
They play sunday-thursday every week, its a 64 man monthly tournament (or has been, format changes every month). Costs $20 for a month to watch the VODs, live broadcasting is free but its on Korean time so its at 5/6 AM EST. Next friday is the finals, make sure to watch them it’s gonna be great.
I personally don’t blame the players who play T for playing like they do because it works, but it doesn’t make me enjoy T as a race at all

The never ending wall was crazy, he threw so much money away but all he had to do was buy time and it worked. And P didn’t even micro properly by getting the charge up on the roaches.
With all the Zs out of the tournament, pretty crazy but Jinro has a really good shot at taking this, that would be so awesome for a foreigner, especially somebody from TL, to take the GSL and set the tone for international play to come
