Got 5th Wave, Warcraft, BvS, Civil War and Zootopia

I got X-Men, Civil War, Indepence Day, Warcraft, Gods of Egypt, Zootopia, and Beastly Things or whatever it’s called.

oh yeah I got Jungle Book too, looked interesting. Not theatre interesting though.

Civil War
Miracles from Heaven (wtf?). I only remember this one because it was so out of place and it had that one little girl from The Walking Dead in it.
I think there was one more, but I can’t remember.

Edit: Oh right, it was also Zootopia and Independence Day 2.

Civil War
Kung Fu Panda 3
5th Wave
Independence day 2
Warcraft
Zootopia
Age of Apocalypse.

The damn previews were 15 minutes (I timed it). WTF is that? Anything over 7 minutes is pushing it.
Pixar usually does pretty good humour, but that joke in the trail dragged on way to goddamn long.

I got 3 meh trailers, and they started about 12 minutes late (movie was supposed to start at 10am, didn’t actually start until about 1030 after commercials and trailers).

the more I reflect on this, the more I want it to happen.

Would explain Luke’s look of pure horror when he see’s her at the end

Spoiler

Kylo Ren’s fighting at the end was pretty pathetic. Getting his butt kicked by two untrained force users. When he lost I inwardly groaned. It’s Like, wtf? She’s been collecting junk in a desert for 10 years but she can effortlessly take out a sith lord…okay. I also wasn’t a fan of how the Jedi’s fighting was downgraded to the orignal trilogy level of people awkwardly swinging swords at one another. I know fans got pissed off at the Yoda fight but I thought people approved of the other battles. Oh, well. I enjoyed the movie overall.

Spoiler

To be fair, Kylo Ren hasn’t had legit competition or let alone faced against the force. Is it misleading that we thought Kylo was gonna be a total badass? Absolutely since we were used to Darth Vader giving no fucks and being a total badass through-tout the original trilogy but I like it that way because I’m looking forward to him actually getting proper training. I view it as Kylo Ren is more human than Vader since he’s a flawed guy and is convinced he has to surpass Darth Vader like it’s his destiny. I also view Ben Solo as Anakin Skywalker but done right. Anakin’s story in the prequel could have been much better but Lucas’ poor writing made it awkward and cringe.

The movie delivered the hype for me, I felt like it did a great job of launching a new trilogy. There were a few moments in the movie that got me right in the feels.

Just saw it. I’d give it a 6/10, better than the prequels but what isn’t? It just felt really sterile.

[details=Spoiler]-I’d almost rather watch a movie about old Han and his adventures with Chewie. He’s still the most engaging character in all 7 movies.
-Of course the black guy is a captain-save-a-hoe who ultimately gets friendzoned by his white nubian queen, while he lays recovering, fighting for his life.
-I liked Kylo Ren’s story and the way he was a WIP.
-I don’t mind Solo dying but it just felt so unnecessary. It was probably Harrison Ford’s idea, though so shrugs
-Rey needed to be nerfed she was doing a little too much with literally no Jedi training. It would have been better if it took Finn and Rey working in tandem to defeat Ren (and yes I’m aware he was injured but still.)[/details]

Spoiler

I honestly think that it’s different. You remember when Ren was all up in her head? He said he saw the island, the water etc. I think that Rey isn’t related to Luke at all. Think about it. Rey and Kylo are about the same age. Rey said that she got thrown on Jakku when she was 5. So by that measure, Kylo Ren would be about 5 ~ 8 years old at the time as well. Why would Luke abandon his own daughter on Jakku, yet train his nephew? Makes no sense. I believe that Rey’s parents brought her to Luke to train her, and when Kylo Ren went on his rampage Luke wiped her mind and had her parents hide her on Jakku to make sure Ren wouldn’t track her down and murder as well. OR it could be that she is Han Solo’s daughter from another relationship. Which would be why Kylo Ren somewhat knows about her and has such a rage towards her in the first place. My last theory is that she’s related to Obi Wan, but that can’t be true at all, otherwise she’d be older.

Spoiler

Ren is not anywhere near a sith lord. Abrams made that clear months ago. He is simply Snoke’s apprentice, obsessed with the Sith and his grandfather.

Saw it, thought it was great but one thing bothered me about the movie. [details=Spoiler]Was it just me or was it a remake of Episode IV?[/details]

[details=Spoiler]
I loved the movie. That Adolf Huxler speech when they used the starkiller base weapon was so epic.

Anyone know if there’s a recorded video of that piece??

Not gonna lie, those X-Wing scenes were so badass!

Finn was hilarious in the movie when he realizes that he ain’t about dat life on Jakku and in Maz’s castle.

I wonder if we gonna get a quick flashback of some sort with the Battle of Jakku.

I got Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Independence Day 2, Jungle Book, Warcraft, Kung Fu Panda 3, and Batman v Superman.

Spoiler

It was like a remake… most of the plots in the movie just mirrored episode 4. I didn’t hate the movie and i do think that it will branch out a great trilogy but at this time i just see it as overrated. There was allot of ridiculous shit that bothered me and the fact that it was like a copy of episode 4 just got me bored. It boggles my mind how this new villain who is being built as the next big thing for the dark side got schooled by a bunch of noobs who had no training at all…that villain also whined and cried like a bitch inside random rooms allot…

[details=Spoiler]First Kylo Ren isn’t a Sith lord, he’s a Knight of Ren. More importantly, it’s already been stated that his training is still incomplete and that he runs more on anger than anything. Second, he took a shot from Chewie from something that took lesser people down, so he definitely wasn’t at his best.

More importantly, the fights were patterned after the ones from the original trilogy, specifically the one from RotJ between Vader and Luke (IMO, the best fight in the entire series). Again, it’s a deliberate choice of sticking to something from those instead of the prequels. In any case, considering that the only lightsaber master around was Luke, someone who didn’t use the acrobatic styles from the prequels, sticking to the OT style makes more sense.
[/details]

I 100% agree with you, Vader vs Luke from RotJ is easily the best fight. Music is beyond perfect, lighting, the Emperor being a dick…all why I think RotJ is the best Star Wars movie. It was the first time you really saw a lightsaber battle. Vader vs Obi Wan was a dud since Obi was biding his time to GGPO…Luke vs Vader round one is so one sided, Luke has no clue what he is doing…Round two though??? Luke manhandles his old man when he gets uppity.

as for SW7:

Spoiler

I found that Rey seemed to have several borrowed lightsaber styles. She does that big overhand into stepkick, like Anakin was fond of using, she has that crazy I WILL KILL YOU thrust attack that Palpatine used to slaughter all the mooks that Samual L Jedi brought with him to do nothing useful. She seems setup purely to confuse you with many potential origins…

Spoiler

Well, they’re all based on Kendo, so it’s easy for certain moves to get reused.
