Star Wars

Yes, shield JJ from that decision as she gracefully exits.

I was just watching a video of canceled SW games and man. I don’t care what anyone says. Worst fucking thing Disney ever did was close LucasArts :frowning:

This I am 100% agree with. The games always had love for the franchise even when they weren’t so great (e.g., The Force Unleashed 2)

It was not just the games, all of the EU was tediously on the fence of being canon or not, games, comics, books, TV shows, random shit George said at interviews, all can be made non-canon in a second. And the very complex levels of how what can overwrite what else was majority confusing. Disney just said this EU shit is a trash fire as far as making sense so it’s all non canon except for the main films, the clone wars CGI cartoon and that’s it.

Oh dude, you never read that IGN article on Lucas Arts?

Shit was crazy well before Disney.

When asked if Palpatine had always been the plan, prior to Episode IX, Terrio said “Well, I can’t speak to Kathy’s overall intent. That was certainly discussed and was discussed before I ever came on. Kathy had this overall vision that we had to be telling the same story for nine episodes. Although from the sleight of hand of Episode VII and Episode VIII, you wouldn’t necessarily know immediately that we were telling the same story. She thought it would be a very strong end for the ninth movie. This fits well with J.J. because he loves magic tricks.”

“When you rewatch the earlier films,” he added, “things start to make additional sense. Ren and his devotion to the idea of his grandfather. The voice that he’s always heard in his head. The certain similarities between Snoke and Palpatine. The intention was that, by the time you get to Episode IX, you realize there were real reasons this is all happening. It all shows how this story is being fought cyclically through the series.”

Boy let me tell,

What?

I can’t believe John Williams has scored 9 SW films and that this was his last one.

He was the last jedi after all.

While no one could ever replace him,who would you guys want to continue scoring the mainline SW films when they resume?

Phillip Glass,

My vote would be Alan Silvestri.
Back to the future trilogy, Predator , Captain America and Avengers 1/3/4
I just like his strong melodies and theyhave that nostalgic feel.

In the past I wuld have gone for Elfman but his Justice League and Avengers AOU scores felt minimalist imo.

Silvestri is a bit on the older side, but would be welcome.

Given the tone of the SW movies, Giacchino’s work spans the spectrum.

Then of course you have the existing work

10K! Lock it up!

Edit: huh? Discourse didn’t auto lock the thread?

My counter says 9953. Does yours say 10k?

Edit: 9954

I’m freaking out man.

At 9959.

Giacchino is a great emulator.

It was sad because in the late 90s/early 2000s they made some of my favorite PC games at the time. Especially their point and click games. Full Throttle for life!

They really went down the drain quickly.
