I mean The Phantom Menace is 20 years old . . . .

A New Hope is 42 years old.

^^ LMAO!! That’s me after doing various gymnastics to beat crowds to the theater to see the first showing of Last Jedi that morning…christ.

Ruin Johnson can suck a hard one. And anyone that thinks that garbage was good needs to rewatch the original trilogy again. They’ve obviously forgotten how Luke’s character is SUPPOSED to be.

Edit: And while they’re at it, they need to rewatch Force Awakens again too. Last i checked Finn & Poe were supposed to be headliners in the sequel trilogy. Not playing 3rd wheel to other, crappy characters (Rose & holdo) and being humiliated.

You should volunteer at a charitable organization.

Like at the “Fans of TLJ helpline”?

Might as well go for some mutual healing.

Maybe Cacpcom ought to hire Po…

Watched all 8 mainline Star Wars movies last year. Still really liked 7 and 8.

Yeah, I periodically will watch one of them all random, including the prequels. Just last month I watched 4 and 5.

Last time I checked, I still like The Last Jedi.

The only mainline Star Wars movie I can’t get through is Episode VIII.

My least favorite is AOTC. Being triggered by sand is the worst. I don’t hate it, but it is the one that I have probably watched the least.

AOTC is probably where the prequels should have started (at least in terms of time period).

TPM and AOTC are the only films I’ve seen only once.

That is my next least favorite but I can get through it. There is a lot of crap to wade through but there are moments that allow me to watch the movie from beginning to end.

Clones was a shit show up until Yoda vs. Dooku. I know a lot of people hate CGI yoda but that brief fight was the fucking tits. It was so awesome to see one of—if not the most powerful Jedi in the known SW universe finally throw down.

I remember watching that scene for the first time. As soon as Yoda dropped the cane I was like “OOOOOOH FUCK!”

I will say that all of the commentary tracks for Star Wars home releases (sans TFA as the first release did not have one) have been great. Hearing George talk about the Yoda sequence is awesome. Basically he was in the great or terrible frame of mind.

For me aside from Episodes 1 and 2 for obvious reasons, I really can not stand or watch Return of the Jedi. Not even the Carrie Fisher fanservice can redeem what even as 7 year old kid I thought that movie was just a weak conclusion. And despite years of thinking New Hope was worst, a recent re-watch of that a few years back convinced I found it held up better then Return.

phuck

I’ve always thought RotJ was the weakest in the original trilogy. People gave me shit for saying Episode III was better than Episode VI. I don’t care I’ll watch RotS over RotJ anyday. Watching teddy bears with sling shots take down a technologically superior military force was dumb as fuck.

ROTJ is my favorite more for nostalgia feels than anything else. I’d argue that the final confrontation between Luke and Vader is one of the best (if not the greatest) scenes in the saga.

That sweeping shot always does it for me. Something that I noticed was the lightsabers through the grates and stairways. Someone rotoscoped that frame by frame and lines it up perfectly.
