I couldn’t get into rogue one at all. Too many characters and none of them were really interesting or mattered. I honestly couldn’t tell you a single one of their names, back stories or goals except “grrr we don’t like the empire!”

The coolest characters by a huge margin were Donnie Yen’s character and his seeing eye bad ass. They kinda stole the show imo. Still couldn’t tell you their names or anything about them tho other than they hate the empire and they did some cool pseudo-Jedi kung fu shit.

I didn’t bother seeing Solo. I hate Han Solo as a character so it didn’t even remotely appeal to me.

solo is quite good. between the last 4 movies solo and R1 imo were the better of the 4. solo is a tad ugly to look at. drab muted colors and dark lighting. but it felt better told storywise than the 2 sequel trilogy movies.

i just want ep ix to get it over already regarding the skywalker family bullshit. so we can all get fresh new characters that have nothing to do with the original trilogy movies. no reference to it. that SW universe is a big interesting universe and there is no need to constantly be harking back to luke skywalker and kin and fucking cameos man.
just start completely fresh with no past references to anything including the empire or rebellion.

I did! Just rewatched it last night on my new 75 inch TV. Wanted to test how the HDR looked and shit. Gotta say, it’s pretty awesome seeing my 3rd favorite Star Wars movie in 4k resolution.
