^^ You just noticed that? Oh yeah, the SJW agenda is strong with this movie. Like the way the pink haired bitch(don’t know her name), refuses to tell Poe anything about her plan. Because he’s a man and thus an idiot, that doesn’t need to know.
Oh and, A new Hope: Mary Sue edition. Basically if Luke had Rey’s “Mary Sue” Superpowers in effect, during the first movie:
This was the first thing I stated. Apart from Phasma’s eyeball, every central female character was either perfect in their decision making or at the very least their intentions. How can you relate to a character, male or female, with zero nuance or quirks to their thought process; only existing to fill a one dimensional, agenda-driven narrative rather than tell a story with a real sense of stakes and tension?
You can make a story as surreal and whimsical as possible, but if the characters have real, honest motivations people will still believe in the world that’s presented even if it’s unfamiliar.
Judging by the way all male characters are portrayed as hot-headed idiots(Poe, Finn, Hux, Ren) or outright failures(Luke), while the majority of female characters are portrayed as strong and knowledgeable (Pink haired bitch, rose, Leia, Rey, etc). This isn’t much of a stretch to come too.
Agreed, She didn’t tell Poe because he was a Man, it because in the military no one is ever told the whole plan except for the maybe for the top brass.
In both Star Wars and real world militaries, information is always on a need to know basis. Poe didn’t need to know, what he needed to do is follow orders.
The Resistance aren’t sure how they are being tracked and there a chance of a spy on board, even if they can trust Poe it does not mean that conversation is not being listen too.
The less people in on the plan the better, and if Poe not careful and repeat the plans to someone else, someone else near by can hear it.
How did you think the First Order found out about the Resistance’s escape plan, Finn and Rose told DJ who in turn told the First Order.
Also the Pink haired bitch(sorry, don’t know her name) and Leia were hinted at a lesbo relationship? Really? WTF.
I didn’t notice that in the movie(i was too busy being annoyed at other scenes), but i’ve heard soooo many others mention it that there must be something to it.
There isn’t a reason for him not to know. Considering he is their best pilot, a hero, committed to the cause. When they reveal the plan later he just says… Wow, yea that will work.
And there’s never a threat of a mole. Never any tension or dialogue to push that as a possibility.
So if he’s told from the start, there wouldn’t be a dangerous side quest that leads to almost everyone getting killed.
He disobeyed a direct order from his general. The correct complaint to make is “Why wasn’t Poe in the brig”. He disobeyed orders and cost the Rebels their entire bombing squadron. The General decided that having the bombing squadron was more important than taking down the dreadnaught. It wasn’t Poe’s call. I’m tired of the “he should have been told” argument. No “he should have been locked up”.
Making Finn a janitor was one of those things that was played for a cheap laugh without actually thinking of all the ramifications it would have on the story; poor screenwriting.
if anything Poe doesn’t come off as “dumb”, he is Solo 2.0 so essentially an “alpha” (yes, it’s supposed to be a derogatory term for sjws lol) with a hot head.
Finn, on the other hand, what a fucking waste of screen minutes and movie resources. Black, white, brown, yellow, idgaf about his ethnicity, the character is just Jar Jar tier
Finn was stationed at Starkiller base and worked in sanitation (referenced in the scene below). Obviously by the time he was on that assault mission his assignment had been changed as well as completing the Stormtrooper 101 course.
