Star Wars

I believe they said that the crawl is reserved for “main” movies and any of the spin-offs/sidequels.

It didn’t need an opening crawl at all.

Movie needed quite a few things and an opening crawl wasn’t one of them.

force sensitive not a force user

Yep, there is a difference.

You have Force users (Jedi, Sith, Witches of dathomir, ect) you have Force Sensitive (people who can sense things with the force but not use the force) and you have everyone else living (can’t use the force or sense most things in the force but still exist in the force).

I am of the opinion that he isn’t even “force sensitive” but simply devout(with doubts), but I can agree with that possibility too

Only if he had a force user to teach him the ways of the force . . . >:)

theres more evidence to say hes force sensitive than to say hes a crazy old believer with ninja skills. in star wars universe when you have outter worldly skills you are either force sensitive or force user more so for the film universe.

I’m not saying he’s “a crazy old believer”. I’m just saying I didn’t get the feeling he was force sensitive any more than any other normal person. His “jedi-ness” as far as combat seemed to be more the “blind man with crazy good hearing” trope to me, and the final scene was more a result of the Force working through him.

I always got the impression from both the movies and the (now obsolete) EU novels that the Force to anyone that couldn’t directly access it was almost like having good luck.

What makes you certain he is “force sensitive”?

I see it as Chirrut (the Blind Monk) has Dare Devil levels of awareness and combat skills while being blind.
He was working in a Jedi Temple before the Empire took the City of Jedha.

It could be a facet of Force sensitive people that yet to be fleshed out in the new Canon

He shot a plane that was flying through the air in a rainstorm blind. I am leaning toward force sensitive.

I forgot about that lol

Saw a Rogue One and enjoyed it. Had it’s issues but hey Vader tearing thru fools was great!

Only memorable character is K2, which reminded me the Iron Giant a lot

And the Vader scene was too good, way too good.

Kenobi vs Maul, round 3

Damn

Rogue One really gave me the feeling of the star wars world and lore that I get when watching 4,5, and 6
Force Awakens comes nowhere close to Rogue One

He was force sensitive
You don’t dodge blasters off of sound
You don’t shoot tie fighters out the air in rainstorm and in the midst of firefights
He also sensed the kyber crystal that was on Jyn erso from a distance

I agree

I think with the new cannon they are going to reveal that the Blind Monk is a new class of force sensitive to the canon.

Not everyone who born force sensitive is trained as a Jedi, Jedi will recruit force sensitive children as young as Newborns but the parents are still can say NO.
So not everyone gets trained in the ways of the Jedi. Example Princess Leia is force sensitive but we never see her actually use the force, her force sensitivity is actually so suppressed not even Vader notices.
You do see Leia take advantage of her force sensitivity with her excellent intuition, sense of the situation around her and her ability to “read” others, better than most politicians but not as good as actual telepathy.

Also people who are born force sensitive but don’t qualify as your force sensitivity is not strong enough.

supposedly a audio recording from 1977 audience watching Star Wars.
this was some kid’s mom that recorded it for idk what reason. glad she did though.
