It’s really splitting hairs, and I suspect Hollywood is just emboldened by Deep Fake technology in recent years. We’ve definitely come a long damn way from The Scorpion King in the Mummy movies. You could even see some improvements in the forgettable Terminator sequels when they’d try to CGI young Arnold in as the T-800. I think Genisys did a decent job, but they also used the evening to their advantage for some shadow salvation.
Still not perfect.
Honestly they should have just hired Michael Fassbender to Gran Moff Tarkin. He’s more handsome than Peter Cushing, but to my eye they have facial similarities; and they could more easily have used make-up or CGI augmentation to account for the difference.
It’s not a perfect illustration, but I hope these similar images help articulate my point better.
Maybe it’s just being old, and coming up in an era where we just re-cast actors.

It’s no good to me as an FPS.
I honestly haven’t played a Star Wars game since X-Wing back on the PC when it came out. Generic ass console FPS trash is why I haven’t bothered looking back. A third person action game with a lot of flexibility would be ideal. Something that is a seamless setting in the series universe where you can do as you please, I’m thinking Grand Theft Auto might be a model - but I’ve never played one of those games, so I can’t say authoritatively. I just don’t want big lame now you are shooting, now you are solving a puzzle, now you are driving that vehicle associated with the character design.
I don’t even know if Ubisoft makes good games. Looking at the list of their crap, I haven’t played any of it.
