Well it’s official. Joker beats Rise of Soywalker’s theatrical run. You’d think the much hyped “conclusion to the Skywalker saga”, could out-do, some low-budget comic book flick from Dc. Evidently not. sad.

Looks like the Best Buy set is the only way to get the 4K releases on disc. I honestly don’t want to buy these again in the event they just do a remaster of the original movies.

OMG Starwars is ruined as the last film only made $1.054b when the studio invested a whopping $275 million (0.275 billion) they only make 52.7 times their money back. Any other industry love to get 52.7 times their investment back.

They even dusted off ol’Palpatine is a desperate bid to regain fan interest. Plus you had JJ & Co on twitter for the first time (gasp)attempting to extend an olive branch to the legion of fans Disney turned away in their arrogance. Instead of insulting us for a change.
Nope. You can’t just piss on the fandom for YEARS, labeling anyone that didn’t like their cash-grab shlock, as “misogynist” and a myriad of other insults. Then expect them to flock back at the last minute to see their cinematic tripe.
The end result? Rise of Soywalker made the LEAST amount at the box office in the trilogy, when it should have made the most. Plus it lost out to Joker too. All the toys & merch continued to nose-dive in sales also. So much crap clogging the discount bins everywhere i went. Disney reaped what they sowed.

They made money? Ummm no, they didn’t actually. Disney’s shlock made nowhere remotely the kind of numbers Disney was hoping for. Not even close. Rise of Soywalker alone, should have EASILY done close to, or at 2 billion. If they had done things right. It wasn’t even close and was a pathetic showing for the “Final entry in the Skywalker Saga”.
Then in addition to the severely diminishing returns of the movies, it’s well-known how the toylines and merch crashed & burned spectacularly. Even the home video releases did pitiful numbers. And before you resort to it, sorry, all the data shows streaming has very little impact on home video sales of movies.
You can rationalize mediocrity however you like. The numbers don’t lie. And if the Disney execs and shareholders actually like money? They are definitely NOT happy with how things have turned out…

The third part of a Star Wars Trilogy has never made more than the first. RoS under performed. Based on Star Wars history, part one of trilogy makes the most money, part two the least, and part three lands in between. RoS was never expected make more than the first. Since I don’t to the Alpha Charlie school of talking out my ass, I provide a link to the box office numbers showing that the third part never outdrew the first.
