But still what? depending how they spin it, it could end up being the research that Sidious used to perfect the cloning tech so he could use if anything should happen to him, i don’t think it’s that big of a stretch…
Ever get the feeling that Lucas wishes he hadn’t made the OT yet, and could just change things?
I personally think that at some point, Star Wars should be completely retold in CG, all the way through. Hell, get that shit into 3D too while you’re at it. The OT is just too shallow and simplistic, the PT really suffered because of Jar Jar but aside from that the only real problem is that he already had the ending point written up, and couldn’t do much with it. In reality, Episode III also should probably have been at least 2 different movies, with Obi-wan vs. Anakin being a lot longer and with more dialogue. Obi-wan is kind of a prick, but Lucas probably figured since most of the OT fans couldn’t pick up on that, he couldn’t do too much with that in the PT either.
This game has that same constraint, he can’t do too much. It’s either ignore the established characters, and then it wouldn’t really be the Star Wars people want, or be limited in terms of huge plot events.
Also, I think we really shouldn’t see references to “democracy” from “queens” and “princesses” lol. Good old OT.
Here’s a nice promo behind the scenes vid where they talk about the game for those interested…doesn’t really say much of anything new though. There’s a vid showing Boba Fettbut you can’t really hear what Darth and Boba are saying to each other.
I just hope that the combat is more fluid. If it weren’t for the great story I would have bowed out of playing TFU. This is especially true after playing the greatest action game of all time.
TFU was cool for the first 15 minutes. Then it got old real fast; I expected Jedi Academy and got a shitty God of War in the Star Wars era rip. The level design was truly horrible on most of the missions, and the star destroyer sequence near the end of the game was actually bugged so the directionals it told you to input were actually wrong. Not to mention it was just not fun and actually quite gay.
The story was indeed the best part of the game, too bad the designers forgot to design an interesting game. I don’t expect anything different from TFU2 other than some flashy force attacks and badass looking animation sequences for his moves. Which was the only interesting thing about actually playing the orginal game until you’ve seen the same shit 100 times.
sO i GOT THE GAMe the other day and am now in the 3rd mission. I’m really enjoying the game so far. My one gripe is that when you want to use your Force powers, like the grip, the game will aim at objects instead of enemies @@.
How can I get the Trophy for killing Wookies in the prologe stage (playing as Vader?) I think I killed under 50 wookies @@.
Oh and I know this is off-topic a bit but I don’t think there’s a SW thread on the forums and a thread for it would’ve attracted trolls so-
Why is there a switchboard on Vader’s chest?
I could never pull THAT FN STAR DESTROYER out of the sky in the first game.
I smashed a pad playing that damn section of the game,I enjoyed it up until that part.
Really?
I fn thought that something was wrong with that part of the damn game.
That was a fn game breaker.I loved the game up until that part, then i smashed a joypad, bit the disc -and never played it,ever again.
lol, I actually beat that part with a little patience-
Just keep pulling it towards you and pull it down when it prompts. Eventually, the destroyer will stop turning and just lay there for you to destroy it.
Destroying the fighter ships were a little annoying and somewhat boring since throwing gripped objects doesn’t automatically get thrown to the ships =/
@sonichuman- Is that different to the one I posted?
Hehehehe.
“PULL IT OUTTA THE SKY”
“I FN WOULD-IF THESE TIE FIGHTERS WOULD PISS OFF!”
One of the most frustrating moments in video game history imo.
My fave star wars game ever has to be Jedi Knight 2:Jedi outcast.I had that game on the Gamecube,i loved every
moment of that game.
