Okay, if you standing parry a jump attack, can you ground attack him with 100% success?
Also, does this depend on who you’re fighting?
I’ve seen a Ken parry a Yun dive kick and go straight into a down medium super. There’s no way the Yun player was ‘too stupid to block.’
In the past however, I noticed that I can’t always get a standing fierce as Ken against some jump-ins.
I’ve made it a habit to strike the guy while he’s still in the hair.
no, you cant.
exodus has done this before to me, and while you may be able to block, if ken does a really deep j.rh, he can jab dp you for free if you attempt to retaliate.
Yes, they are vulnerable upon landing which means they can’t block or tech throws. It’s for a very short amount of time (1 or 2 frames?). Every character is crouching in that phase, except Yun and Yang who are standing because I believe they don’t have the pre- and post-jump crouching frames that other characters have.
However if someone hits really deep like Epsilon was saying, they will likely hit the ground before your move comes out. Meaning you get hit first, or they’re able to block/tech. In which case you’re better off throwing, or hitting them when they’re still airborne.
Empty jumping lets you block or tech though.

Beautiful. Thank you.
Anyone else have comments?
Yeah…if Alex does j.HP at the very end of his jump and you parry…you almost can’t do anything. Same with Dudley’s j.HK or most any normal timed at the last few frames in the air. Like said above…trying to get a throw in or block are probably your only 2 options when someone gets a super deep jump in parried.

Yep, Urien jHK is the same, if used very deep just before landing it’s almost safe, they cannot retaliate even if parryed. Me too wanna know if those situations of parryed jumpins obey to particular laws, anybody can enlighten us?
Actually, Chun can low jab xx super if she parries uriens j. rh. deep.

Yeah. I’ve been contemplating punishing with cr. shorts from shotos because they’re faster than cr. forwards.

Yep that’s why i sayd it’s almost safe, that shit happened 2 times in a row in the same round to RX, 20061028 ranbat. :\

Hmm you know if someone parries your air attack you have air control, you can hoold back and after the parry you go backwards. Try a early forward with makoto in the air and let them parry it hold back and you go back towards where you were. I used to do this when i played makoto alot it helps the jumping game with her its pretty safe unless someone chases you.
usually if your playing against the cpu the cpu usually go low so you can crouch parry and then go roundhouse the opponent and then they fall

Could you repeat this in different words please?
Sounds like you’re saying you can ‘float’ away from your opponent. I don’t think I’m reading this correctly.
Damn people, nice av’s. Jida and DevilJin 01.
Q late jumping roundhouse is almost on the Super Turbo safe jump-in level.
I have another related question, sometimes if Urien does a Violence Knee Drop and you parry, you can punish with a ground attack, but sometimes he bounces away. What determines if he can be punished from the ground? Also when he does bounce off, can he still be punished, for example with a duck XX super from Dudley or a dash cr MK XX dragon from Ken?

urien doesnt bounce when he hits below the knees, and yes its punishable if he bounced of you =)
