So, um, what’s up with moving the cab? Brent, please let me know when we’re doing this. Right now, Thursday night, and Friday during the day are free for me. I don’t know when’s good for Beasley. It’s been my experience that his place is easy to break into, so he doesn’t necessarily need to be there.
Also, Brent, I tried PMing you for your contact number on Tuesday, but didn’t get a response. It wasn’t until just now that I remembered you complaining about wanting to get prem so that your inbox wouldn’t be so limited. Which is, consequently, why I’m posting here.
So you just woke up and realized “oh shit, evo is this weekend?”. So you aren’t going to evo but wish you were? So you’re tired of “casuals” with 3rd tier bullshit clown characters, and want to play to win mercilessly?
The goal here is to be as cheap and as unfriendly as possible. You will not have fun. You will be wall dived over and over, tick thrown repeatedly, and you will want to quit and play marvel instead. Expect demoralizing 20 losses in a row. This session will make the hardcore session before PNW majors look like a casual arcana heart cosplay convention.
Evo is coming out. Pools are HARD. You need to win. Time to practice the cheap dirty shit that wins tournaments. This isn’t a mi-ka-do combo video, this is Evo ST, and dirt wins. Destroy your unprepared opponents mercilessly. You may lose every single game in this session, but if you can learn one small nugget of information that wins you a game at Evo, then it was worth it.
I’ll be there to mount the top of the stick properly for good and get the camera to nate. That, and play like a total asshole. And prey on all your bad habits. Please believe, I will be watching all your match vids before we play. Well, maybe not. I’m not that serious. But I will watch a few.
Indeed. Pro tip: we have an advantage over the better ST players in our pools in one way- there are match videos of most of them online, and most of them have very distinct play styles. There are not many widely watched match vids of us, especially not recently. Figuring out their strengths and weaknesses and developing a strategy on using them against the opponent always gives you the upper hand, which is why I’ve already worked out strategies against Sirlin, Viscant, Jason Cole, Graham Wolfe, and DSP. The internet is too good
Actually, I think we can get parts ordered for your cabinet as well while I’m there, Julien! I’ll stick some artwork in while I’m at it, since a blank white top that’s separated at the corners is pretty bland.
