Just a quick question if anyone knows.
I was thinking about going to Evo East and was reading the tournament faq, it said that Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo would be played on a Us PS2 and that you have to bring your own controller, I though all games were played on Arcade machines with sticks.
Can anyone clear this up for me please?
No sadly evo is a “console” tournament and they use crapped out ported version insted of the true arcade versions. But if you go to arcadeshock.com or one of the other sellers of mas sticks you can get a really nice stick to use for PS2. It’s not as good as an arcade machine but it sure beats a crappy console controller or a bargin brand stick.

I’m glad evo is on consoles, Sticks are for big babies…a real man uses a pad, its cheaper, its easy to carry around and you make the stick players feel horrible after you beat them…

Evo has been a console only tournament since last year. No arcade cabs are used for the main tournaments.
