Well, hey, what do I know? I’ve only got the source code to look at, how would I know the actual way it decides whether you get Akuma or not?
uh, no it’s not.
btw it’s been a couple of years since i’ve played…
Oh yeah, you’re in a for a real surprise when you finally reach akuma after breezing through everyone else on easy mode and you think you’re in for an easy 25 points. They definitely upped the difficulty stars on his ass haha
Yah that Dee Jay combo was mad easy. Thanks for the tip.

I was working on the achievement guide for Xbox360achievements.org
It should be close to final draft. Read it, learn from it, and tell me what’s wrong with it.
Dude you aren’t lying. I played against this dude for about and hour and finally won ONE FREAKING ROUND against him. I gave up and figured next time I will set it for one round to win b4 trying to beat akuma. He is TOTALLY BROKEN. One round I had him to zero life and dizzied, so I try to blanka ball him right. Even if he blocks it it chips him out right? He instantly shakes dizzy and dragon punches me to oblivion.
Newsflash: CPU Akuma HAS NO DIZZY. He’ll fall over dizzy, but when he gets up, he’s fine.

The “Master of All Things” achievement works in player matches. You do not have to do ranked.
I second that
high fives but there are no girls
Are you positive about this? Doesn’t the description say “Ranked Online matches?”
Didn’t want to make a new topic for this, but any word on Trophy support for PS3? Kind of surprised it wasn’t included.
I call bullshit on the Sheng Long write-up. I’ve tried that, it does NOT work. Maj, yours doesn’t either. I’ll believe Stilt.
The Dee Jay combo seemed the easiest to me - no need to even build a level. Although the Graham Wolfe Balrog combo seems ridiculously easy.
Yeah i believe StiltMan’s Akuma method too, but it was too vague to write up in simple terms so i just made a reference to his post instead.
I got the “3 perfects” method from some FAQ and it worked for me the very first time i managed to get to Bison without continuing, even though i lost a bunch of rounds. Anyway even with StiltMan’s info, it seems there’s no direct way of fighting Akuma apart from winning as many rounds perfect and/or as quickly as possible.
Ah, I see. Yeah, I went with the “Best 3 of 5” round setting and got 5+ perfects and lost one round and Akuma didn’t show up. I set it to Best of 1 and got maybe 1 perfect(?) and Akuma showed up. So: there’s no Perfect requirement BUT the timer check doesn’t appear to notice how many rounds each game is. As far as I can tell. So I suspect ANYbody going through Best of 1 should be able to get to him. Stilt could probably verify the timer check, but that’s what I’m suspecting here. =\
edit: Somebody said that the timer is simply “20 minutes” - I’d stick with that since it’s more logical. “Get to Bison in 20 minutes, no continues.”
i did 3P rounds and no continues, i got to him
my friend also put it on one round matches and only did 2P wins and no continues
I did Ken’s cr.short, cr.short, super. It is not that hard. I couldn’t do the Dee Jay combo :’(
You know what is crazy? If he blocks a Roundhouse Flash Kick, then you almost always get a grab on him. That’s how I beat him. Stay back and Flash Kick when he jumps, then Flash Kick him on wake-up and he’ll usually block it, then grab him. This was on Easy btw.
Ok, thanks for the advice.
I actually originally had the OLD requirements to reach Akuma from ST and older version of the game. (Wasn’t it something like 4 perfects, no continues?)
EVERYONE and their mother on X360a called me out and told me the “correct method.” Stilt’s method seems more viable though. Personally, I got to Akuma on 3 round arcade mode and I had 5 perfects, so I can’t really tell…
edit: I updated it with stiltman’s info and credited him for it in the guide. Thanks Stilt.
For the Playing To Win (30G) achievement, I got it after 101th win, but not the 100th.
100%. I got it in a 1 on 1 private room playing a friend using all characters and beating him with them. It unlocked it for me.
Okay, I finally got Master of All Achivement. Man. Practically had to do two complete cycles. I’m starting to think the game doesn’t register your character if you chose them with Random Select. I did a whole session today after using a few characters on random select. Went back and re-picked those characters again without random select, and finally got it.
That was way more work than it should have been.
