So I re-installled GGPO on my main PC and got back on yesterday for the 1st time in months, the only problem is I consistently had really bad input delay and dropped inputs the whole time. A couple of times my character just sat there for whole seconds and none of my inputs registered. The animation and music were also stuttering and choppy. It wasn’t lag, I didn’t get any rollback or lag caused warping, it just wasn’t running right. Anyone know what could be causing this? I’m using Windows XP.

They now have some 10-minute-per-coin machine with some console AE version at the local arcade. Say what you will, offline emulated AE is still better than playing online, IMO. Even if the latency is just around 40 ms. I didn’t even remember how to play when you could actually see the start-up of all normals and jumps anymore. The controls are horrible, though. But if feels good to play against other people again and get the game some exposure: lots of people actually gave the game a try.
