Was kinda looking forward to hopping back into the game because of AE. Too bad that Capcom made it such a financial issue to replace a mere software upgrade . While I would love to play AE, I could never condone throwing 13,000 into a video game…probably the total of all of TDP’s expenses put together since SF4 came out August of 08 .
Terrance: There are a number of reasons why people point out your grammar, however it is easiest said like this…It has to do with the fact that everything you write/post makes you look really dumb. I say that with all seriousness and in no intention to “troll” or pester you. It’s just the fact that you have a knack for saying (coupled with having a ridiculous stance on just about anything) silly things in a very silly way. Any redeeming quality in reading your post/opinion is immediately thrown out the window because for one, it’s hard to read or understand and secondarily, are completely horrendous to begin with. Anyways, yeah, the bad grammar makes you look bad. Plus, people love to poke fun when they see a reaction. Just trying to help your understanding.
Regarding the idea of arcade vendors “making their money back,” I just wanted to throw concrete numbers into play really quickly. The machine it self costs $13,000…meaning that you would need a total of 13,000 plays (duh). At 3 minutes a match (rough but fairly accurate estimate), it would take 650 hours of constant play to even “break even.” Can you even fathom that? Meaning that it would take 81 days if the machine was at CONSTANT business for 8 hours a day…which by the way, I don’t care how dedicated this scene is, will never happen here in Seattle.
Fact of the matter is that at constant play, the machine makes $20 to $30 an hour. A “good” day for the machine would be considered if it made $80 a day with nearly 4 constant hours of play. And how often will these good days happen? At MOST 3x a week?
Fact of the matter is that Bill won’t be seeing even’s until August of next year if he’s lucky. Oh, and let’s just look away at the idea that the AE version is going to be released here in a few months anyways.
@ironmikedavis i see what your saying, but for the most part im an outsider to the community. I really dont give 2 fucks what most these clowns think of me anyways. If people are concerned about my grammar then thats on them, sides, I’m turning these dudes into material anyways:rofl:
then maybe its better you get the fuck out. and if im getting turned into “material” for your whack ass rap album, wait til my manga of you comes out.
you’re an outsider and you don’t care what people think, yet you’re trying to promote your venue and become a part of this community? AND you post waaay too fucking much. you’re a fucking joke, and thats why people clown your corny ass.
back on topic: in hope GW gets the DBZ game thats runnin off of GGPO
@Messatsu Orochi People love me bro,lol sorry to burst your bubble, and Im no rapper i do stand up comedy, and as far as a joke HA! your lifes a joke for trying to tough talk on SRK. ANYWAYS right, back on topic
i have such a joke of a life with a good paying job, a girlfriend, a family who loves me, and good friends. i wish i could be you.
and i can feel all the love for you on the forums. so my bad.
lol you’re a comedian? no wonder you’re so funny!
/sarcasm
stick to that instead of street fighter.
and you still dont know the definition of trolling? you’re my entertainment when im working. i know you stay up late nights and wait for me to to reply to you. id really hate for you to lose sleep thinking about me… no homo? or all homo?
When you start to promote your business and venue, you are NOT going the correct way about it.
Imagine if ironmikedavis, from GW, came in here and posted the following.
“I don’t give two fucks about you guys wanting AE. y’all can just stop calling and talking cause we gon get it when eva” Or something of that nature, IMO it makes the venue look bad.
Like, cool, you work at Playsmart, so for real, if someone came on here and was wondering about Playsmart, all they would really know is its ran by the guy that posts like, what you post. You are NO LONGER representing only yourself. You are representing yourself, the company you work for and everything else.
so since, there’s no official console release date for AE, does that mean EVO 2k11 is gonna be super?
2 new characters is cool, but more wouldve been dope. i do, deep down inside, hope the console version stays the same as the arcade so that people will still hit up whichever arcade gets AE.
It probably will, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom does an update or something and makes it free. This could potentially be a bad thing cuz GW probably wouldn’t get the update if this were to happen.
