Keep in mind if Gief is using Ultra 2, that will probably grab EX Hurricane in wake up/reversal situations, completely shutting down that plan. What a pain in the ass…

i agree with DeLUCIFER on the gief matchup, i think st. rh and st. forward are gonna be vital tools against him… from what i could gather… st. rh worked a lot like bison’s just not AS much range. seemed to have good priority… good poke… except the angle is a little higher than bison’s.

ok this is just speculation that this will work… but i thought i read some where that lariat doesn’t hit crouchers anymore or something siimilar to that. or was it doesn’t hit crouchers on wake up? i can’t remember… if that’s true… as far as footsies go… guy’s slide should be able to stop gief’s lariat i think. command run or regular. guy gets REALLY low so he should be safe from the lariat and hit gief’s feet. again this is just speculation.

i think cr. fierce and st. rh will work as anti air’s but they’ll be distance dependent like bison’s st. rh is… as in they don’t work if the person is jumping directly on your head. however… in those situations… ex hurricane is there… AND it works as anti crossup… so gief’s j. down short i think it is(?) will get shut down.

cancellable normals are… cr. strong… st. strong… cl. fierce… cr. short… cr. jab(i didn’t test it but i think it’d be weird if it didn’t cancel as it always has)…cr. forward is NOT cancellable. i think cl strong is cancellable but don’t quote me on that.

hey blaze… do you remember if ex shoulder was safe? i never got hit after it on block… but it felt safe.

honestly i think gief will give guy trouble… but i still believe guile will too(luckily there’s not too many guiles)… guile’s SB recovery is too good. and his cr fierces will most likely be able to stop bushin flip. so a good zoning guile might be ass to fight against.

ex shoulder is very unsafe.only do it in combos reaction stuff or punish.

hmmm now that i think about it… the times i did it… were only after ff chain… or to chip some one to death or punishing stuff from far away.

Ok at the end of this week i get my hands on the game myself, i duno if ill be allowed to record (its supposed to be a secret event type thing but everybody seems to know about it lol) but i wanted to know mainly from Blazeu and MADma3sr0(never typing that name again btw) if there was any stuff that you guys wanted to try but didnt get to OR stuff you thought of after you had your time with the game that you would like me to try out and possibly PM me a list each?

that way i will actually have a goal in my time apart from winning and doing the stuff you guys have already found lol.

anybody else if you have anything specific you want me to try just post it in here BUT only if its something completely new please check the thread for already confirmed stuff before asking me that way i wont have to go though walls of text just to find something worth trying.

Im pretty sure you can super after NJ HK, if we can bushin grap after…even if its EX that would be pimp, im sure capcom is going to make something combo after it.

Another note, Guy is going to HAVE to pick U2 vs gief and t. hawk just to make them modest up close. That is going to be the difference maker.

i dont know if this is even an issue but id like to know if his grab ultra is as bad as everybody says it is, i tried to use it when i was playing it but didnt get a chance to pull it off( some duche picked his main and i got pushed to the back of the line lol)

Hmmm, well as long as you don’t mind…
With the grab super, after blocking a normal (besides a lp or lk) see if you can input the command while you’re in blockstun. Like what the 360 characters do. I’m hoping that the super will force people to slow down attacks on Guy once he’s got an Ultra. Also see if you can link crouching jab after landing mp+f or at least get a counter hit if they try anything but a dp back.

check mp shoulder and if there are any differences between normal move elbow(in air d+mp) vs bushin flip elbow don’t really remember seeing anything on it

What are the properties of command elbow drop (jumping d+mp)? How early can we use it into the jump animation? Priority?

Whats the recovery after FF Chain on hit? While they’re flying through the air, can we command run or dash or Bushin Flip in order to keep pressure? I’m thinking command run after Bushin Chain into mixup games or an ambiguous crossup with using run stop or letting run recover on it’s own.

Is EX run faster than normal run?

Can any of the run moves be FADC’d?

I’d like to know the startup frames on Ultra 2. Supposedly Honda’s U2 is 5 frames and Balrog’s is 7 (trash lol) and they can be jumped out of. Does U2 grab crouchers? (I think I remember seeing in a vid that it does)

if u could, i’d like to find out more about bushin chain into grab, im quite sure u can’t do it off blockstring(t’would be broke_), if u could confirm that’d be great.

cant grab on block. he just doesnt do it. try and find out if lk hurricane can fadc. if it does try hurricane fadc ultra 1 in the corner. also mess around with his df+rh, puts them in juggle state. see if u can ex shoulder after or ex hurricane in the corner. and mess around with his neutral jump rh.

Try to gather some frame data, and if you can try to chop Lariat with the flip.

And about your question, in vanilla after any juggle state move no character with an air grab could land it, this might change in super but I doubt it. (Before people bring up Abel that’s not an air grab its an antiair grab lol.

i pretty sure U2 would have to grab crouchers… it’d be pretty weak if it couldn’t and all you had to do was hold down and you’d be ok. that would make it COMPLETELY useless.

I hope your right about it grabbing crouchers before they could jump or BD out. However in a way that could create some crazy guessing games on wake up right. Say you land an untechable KD. Then jump in on their wake up. They now have to decide if they get up crouch blocking to stop your empty jump into c.LK FF chain or stand block to block your jump in and be ready to escape the ultra. I mean I know thats an over simplification since some characters can port out and maybe the grab looses to reversals (though I hope not) but it seems like that would almost be too good for guy. It would also make run-stop-ultra tricks possible
