It’s been a while since I’ve inspired any good ragequits. I usually play as Dan, but for whatever reason until last night I was getting more ragequits when picking Random and getting Makoto or Hakan. Last night, though, I did manage to get two!
The first guy was StayCrispy SRK, who I’ve noticed was posting earlier in this thread. He tried Dudley against Dan, and learned the hard way to fear the Knee. After I trapped him in the corner, I wouldn’t let him out and smacked every wakeup reversal he tried with the LK Danku. He finally went for a wakeup Ultra, which of course the LK Danku hops over harmlessly, so I put him away for the easy win. Before the second round even began, he quit to the dashboard. Gotta protect that 2000 PP, I guess! That led to a small exchange of messages…
“It has to be asked. u mad? ;)”
“no?”
“Then why did you ragequit? :(”
“rage?”
“Okay, why did you cowardquit then? You have SRK in your name, do you think they’ll like hearing about this? They have a thread for it…”
“can i help you?”
I left it at that, and figured I’d let it speak for itself.
The second guy was xMachineJusticex, who was trying out Abel apparently. He didn’t know that HK Dankus fly over Breathless, so I was able to dodge his Ultras and rack up what would’ve been an easy win if he hadn’t DCed while knocked down with a sliver of life left. He didn’t respond to my “Dan’s pretty scary, huh?” message though.
The sad thing is, I wasn’t even taunting a lot in either match. I’ll be sure to taunt more if I run into either of them again.
I am too nice to send back mail to wind the hatemail senders up. The worst I have ever sent was telling a ragequitter that he was unsporting.
I got a hatemail today off an Akuma player who said I was the cheapest Balrog player he had ever played. I didn’t have the heart to tell him he needed to do more than air fireballs and low kicks to win.
i almost never got hatemail in vanilla, but in super i’ve been getting it out the arse.
recently upgraded to stick so my game is way way off (and i’m pretty shitty anyway), so when i beat one guy (repeatedly) in team battle despite playing loose and shitty he got ridiculously salty about it, saying he’d only been playing fuerte for one day and that i was some sweaty nerd who needed to “try harder in player matches ROFL”. vV Danny Vv if you want to play a true pro, apparently.
another fella (stawman uk) got super mad because i beat him with my (again, shitty) dudley and, you know, blocked some of his attacks. the full exchange:
him: "boring boring boring.hang back hang back. avoided player"
me: "its called blocking, try it some time scrub lol"
him: "who the fuck u callin scrub.jumped up little spotty nerd"
me: “big words, little man. rematch?”
because i love to call people on their talk, i invite him to a match, wait 15 minutes and get no response, then:
him: "go boil ur head. im not wastin my time on u"
me: “boohoo is babby scared of the big man who knows how to block” (at this point i’m straight up trolling)
him: “lol stop talkin bollocks big man”
i stopped there because whatever, but poking ragey people is just the most fun to me
Me - "wow, you’re garbage, sell the game"
Him - "ok mr. 1 hit wait for me to shoryuken then counter me"
Me - "uhh, maybe you should fuckin learn how to play the game and stop mashing buttons"
Him - “haha ok!”

oh sorry, that’s just what i do when i play turtling Ryu’s that have like 5000 bp that they got purely off of mashing against people who don’t know what they’re doing. but im not really an asshole. if i get destroyed by someone who is really legit, i won’t do that, actually, i usually complement them saying i like their [insert character].
Won a match last night and I saw the green megaphone flashing (my mic was off). Plugged in my mic and said, “Sorry my mic was off. What did you say bro?” His response - “Turn off your mic asshole”
Playing Seth today, I was playing a Balrog. I’ve had trouble with this matchup and in the first round he gets a pretty decent 50% win. So I figure, hell I have EX he can’t rush me down I’ll play it safe and see how he reacts.
He reacts with Rage Quitting half way through sending me a message saying how pro it is to throw sonic booms.
“Your so shit, learn to play up close”
“Cheers mate, GG to you too”
“Fuck off”.
I’ll be sure to taunt more if I run into either of them again.
