SSF4/USF4 | What other players msg you after you beat them?

I had an encounter that just defined the phrase “turnabout is fair play”.

I was taking a break from using T.Hawk and Sakura, and giving Cammy a go. Fight Request matches me up with a guy in ranked that picked Dudley. He seemed new to Dudley, because I easily swept him two rounds straight. I pop back into Arcade mode and the FR kicks in right away and I get matched up with the same guy again. I pick Cammy again and expect him to go with Dudley again. Nope, he decides to bust out T.Hawk on me. Big mistake, as a Hawk mainer I know his weakness and how to deal with him. And it also became obivious he thought it was gonna be an easy win because he was throwing out random Condor Dives and mashing punches and kicks. Never tried any crossup shenanigans either.

Anyway, he got me the first round, mainly due to me being new to Cammy. Plus her low health and Hawk’s power don’t mix obviously. I came back and won the 2nd. And he barely, and I mean barely, won the last round off a trade with both of us having a sliver left. I was a little mad at losing to someone pulling some crap like that, but I quickly cooled off. Several matches later I actually get matched up with the same dude again. The evil side of me kicked in when I saw him pick Dudley and I decided to pull out T.Hawk on him and show the fool how it’s done. Suffice it to say, that match wasn’t pretty. I left his Dudley as a greasy spot on the ground

Right after the match he sent me a message, in which he called me a gay, T.Hawk using piece of s***. I didn’t respond, but I’m like, WTF, didn’t you just do that me?

I was just ragekicked by YungNubinator cause I beat him after he was beating everyone with just using the same move.
Than he calls me a scrub.

no i only played 4 or 5 bar matches in sf4 and we weren’t lagging, and i specifically remember you booting me and sending hate mail afterwards.

if there is lag in matches and it is bad enough i simply put the controller down to let the other person kick my ass so i can get out of there as quick as possible.

and i only mentioned the wins i had because that was the only outcome since you booted me as soon as you lost. and yes we played quite a few times, and you always booted me after i won.

if we are always laggy and have played a bunch, why wouldn’t you boot me as soon as I joined the lobby instead of after you lost?

I got a message from someone who stopped mid game to write it

“Say my name *****”

Im not very talented at this game and we were both down to little health when he beat me, did give me a bit of a giggle

I have to side with a lot of others here. It’s like Super came out and the boxes were laced with a slow-release, airborn anti-depressant or something because I haven’t gotten hate mail with Super yet. Just a bunch of GGs and friend requests.

That said, I sent a “Dude, WTF was THAT?” to a guy playing ken like Super Mario with a DP last night. A rare moment of douchiness for me.

Had a fella ragequit on me in a ranked match and I had to send him a message. He was playing a solid Hakan, almost better than my own, and I was thoroughly impressed throughout the match. However, come Round 3 when he’s got a sliver of health left he ragequits. I messaged him something like, “Seriously, dude? I was just complimenting your Hakan and you ragequit?” He replies, “u mad. jk lol i had anger problems. gg though.” Anger issues or not, it’s disappointing to see a solid player utilize such a scrubby tactic.

I also had another match, real close between me and a Cody player. He picked U2 and, third round, uses it when I’m clearly blocking. The chip damage wouldn’t have been enough to kill me but, stupidly, I let go of block a little too early to start inputting my own ultra and ate the last hit and subsequently full ending animation of his ultra for the lose. I messaged him afterwords, “lol wat”. Feels bad man.

Just today I had to send someone, “quit playing and go take care of your baby” because I could hear the damn thing crying over voice chat for the whole last round…

Take care of your kids people, street fighter can wait :stuck_out_tongue:

…also, keep that brat off voice chat, nobody wants to hear that shit.

I got “nice connection dial up boy” after a match i won against a t.hawk user who kept spamming dive. there was hardly any lag

Yes, and I booted you after you lost too. If you’re salty about getting booted, I couldn’t give a fuck less. You lag, you leave. End of story.

I also have booted you MANY times without even playing you when I recognized you tag and you sent me stupid little messages like “u scarred”. You don’t like it, oh well.

You got hate mails, post em up.

Yesterday I beat a 6000 bp Ryu with my Dan. He said
"Wow they might as well just get it over with and call this super cheap gimicky fighter 4"
I said “umad?”
“I dont care about losing Im just saying this game is broken”
“You know you dont have to play it”
“thats why I rented it thanks for the sage advice”
“as Dan would say…“No Problem!” :)”

Played a Ken in ranked this morning with the PSN handle dxdavidxq. I’m using my main Sim. He didn’t send me a message, but he was raging throughout our match.

Once we both pick our characters and he saw that I was using Sim, I heard this very exasperated, “Oh nooo.” I knew this was going to be priceless. He’s quiet once the match starts, until I start anti-airing his jump-in attempts. On the second Yoga Knee I hear, “Is that all you know how to do?” “Dude come on man!” Two anti-airs later, "THAT’S ALL YOUR WAITING FOR! “FUCK!” He then goes on a rampage of fwd.mks trying desperately to get in. I just punished with st.lk waiting for that jump-in. SPOILER ALERT He jumps in again. I knee. “FUCK!”

At this point I’m damn near choking from laughing. I eat a couple jumpin hkxx cr.mk xx hado combos. He starts talking mad shit. “YOU BITCH!” “TAKE THAT BITCH!” I lose more life somehow (still laughing). Were both at about 20%. He goes for a crossup. I beat it with b.mp. He fuckin flips. "LUCKY! THAT’S THE ONLY REASON YOU WON! It totally was.

Round 2… FIGHT!

Match is over in like 30 seconds. I zone him out and punish everything he does. He pretty much only says that I need to learn how to play the game and I’m a fucking ***. That former really hurt my feelings .

The thing was that the guy had like 2500PP and 5000+ BP, so he obviously has a lot of time invested. Shouldn’t he know the matchup?

I sent him this message afterward, hoping that he would respond:

No subject

"LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

I couldn’t even concentrate with your bitching lmfao. i was holding my sides. stay salty my friend."

No response unfortunately.

I get far more rage-mail in Endless than in Ranked.

Probably has to do with the fact that I play T. Hawk exclusively in Endless and people just hate him, loathe him and foam at the mouth at the sight of him.

I just love tick-throwing people into jab typhoon. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Then they counter pick with Blanka and I auto-lose because I still have to learn the match-up and they send gloat mail, and when I’m ready to scrape them with Dhalsim the next match to wash off the bad taste in my mouth, they leave the lobby and I’m like :shake:

Why oh why must they ruin my fun :wtf: T. Hawk just wants to hug you and make you feel closer to the Earth.

I beat a Blanka player 3 times today and he got mad, he sent me a message to stop “flowcharting” and “turtling” with Akuma. Then he said Akuma is an easy character to use and blanka is one of the “hardest” characters to master in the game because he has no combos. Thing is all this guy did is j.hk and roll into my ultra. More hatemail followed but it was too long to post.

“Duskbringer 360” sent me: “wtf u turtle scrub” after i beat him with Dudley’s rushdown.

Not incredibly on topic, but I don’t think this is quite worthy of a new thread and it’s close enough.

Wow, I feel ashamed of myself…

I’ve been getting increasingly frustrated all day because for some reason I haven’t been able to tech throws worth a damn. It all boiled up and exploded when I got thrown by a Guy player (his name was MyBodyIsInfected, I think) one too many times and ended up throwing my fightpad and turning off my PS3 in frustration. It took a second before I realized that I literally just ragequit on someone for the first time.

After calming down, I turned my PS3 back on so I could send him a message, but I’d already got a message from him that said something like “you’re too good to ragequit. don’t be like that. Either way you’re gonna be on rage-quitters.com in a few days.”

Ugghhh…I sent him an apology and an explanation of what happened, and offered him a free win in ranked if he cared about the points. He didn’t believe me, though. Oh well.

I am “mybodyisinfested”. I appreciated the apology and shouldn’t have made threats like that. I just expected another message to the effect of “I not quit get better connection (insert racial slur) I was just busy with yur momz”.

Anyway don’t worry about it.

Yeah. For real, I’d like to fight you again. Maybe when I find the batteries for my fightpad that went flying off somewhere.

Are you hugging your monitor right now?

Speaking of voice chat issues, I wonder if some unscrupulous people out there intentionally use a bad mic as an advantage. The other day I got matched up with a guy with his voice chat on and an absolutely awful mic or something. Didn’t hear a peep in the ranked lobby, but as soon as we got to the fighter select screen loud static started pouring out of his mic. It went on for the whole match and was distracting enough to put me off my game and cause me to lose. Looking back I should’ve hit the mute button on my TV, but ah well. Still, I felt that was rather lame and maybe intentional.

Had a chap ragequit on me yesterday, and that was the first time it’s ever happened to me. I hadn’t played for a couple of weeks, and had been largely impressed to see that people with manners seemed to be populating the servers, until this one guy with the tag of ZIPPY and then a bunch of numbers starts screaming at my Gen: “Oh, just FK OFF you old CT!”. I was a little shocked, to be honest, as everyone else had been so genial throughout the day. He was using Makoto, and, not to sound cocky hadn’t been giving me much trouble, just for him to ragequit as I caught him with a cross-up Mantis Super finish in the last round. Kids these days…
