And why wouldn’t he be considered hard to play?

What do people think about gouken vs sagat, cammy and rufus?

<My main> is hard to play.
P.S. Juri really is :shake:
Only If you’re afraid of getting knocked down
yea, he probably just that. a nigga who writes while dudes out there actually playing. he needs to stick to his theory fighting because it’s becoming apparent he writes more than play like most of srk.
Nobody cares how hard your character is to play. It does not matter in this topic, at all. If your character isn’t dealing with the shit some characters go through in MvC2 or Unlimited Codes, then chances are, that “difficulty” isn’t worth talking about.
Also I find it funny how landing a 3f short is unrealistic, or how EX Palm is unrealistic when it happened against Jozhear on a streamed match not too long ago. I’ve barely touched on Yang match ups but you frauds act like he’s 4-6, 3-7, or 2-8 against everyone.
I mean nobody makes mistakes! lol
Stay free you two.
also ugo2 i wasn’t really offended so much as i just kept having to load multiple youtube videos which is slow as fuck on srk for no apparent reason
The thing is that anyone who knows how to do Blanka’s moves and has watched T.Hawk vs. Blanka for 30 seconds can counterpick Hawk with Blanka.
The amount of real decisions that Blanka needs to make in the matchup is so low that someone who has never played Blanka outside of random select would probably have a 60 or 70% chance of beating a good T.Hawk player who knows the matchup.
Like when I lose a round to a Hawk player it’s generally because I’m thinking too much and not spamming balls enough.(Yes you literally spam balls vs. hawk, it’s not like ball zoning vs. other characters, you can just do them randomly pretty much)
It’s the easiest match to play in the game by far.
yea, and how common is that happening? do we even play the same game? i can bring up tons and tons of videos yang matches and you’ll never that shit ( talking raw ex palm LOL ) pass like once or twice if the yang is lucky. in reality, yang bnbs is only going around the 160-170 for the most part. get the fuck out off your keyboard and actually play. and i’m free? nigga, you going to NEC or anything? i would straight body you in MM. you play seth right? kool. ken vs seth should be east for since you play theory so much fucking faggot.
Gouken v Sagat: It should be in Sagat’s favor, Infil v Bonchan say otherwise. St mk should be most of Goukens buttons. Can’t do too much against tiger knee pressure without taking huge risks, angry scar beats flip shenanigans, U2 can beat a lot of things on reaction. Sagat has a lot harder time throwing fireballs, and on wakeup Gouken can pressure well. Sagat has a harder time throwing fireballs but its also medium to high risk for Gouken without FADC because of DP punish. Correct spacing to avoid it is possible but it’s very situation specific when to pull those off so its not a huge incentive.
v Cammy, landslide cammy no questions asked. Characters with DP can have a hard time AAing Cammy, Gouken obviously struggles. Does decently well during neutral and can take the round if he lands a lucky kd and gets something going, has unblockable after df kick st cl mp sweep. But it’s all down to player skill and guesses.
v Rufus, its decently close. Gouken’s normals and fireballs can give rufus a really hard time getting in, especially because of his big hitbox and Goukens MP fireball. Low stun doesn’t help against Denjin. Rufus usually eats a lot just trying to get in. U2 might be help Rufus in this matchup over U1. Gouken can do absolutely nothing about it, and has to stop his fireball game completely except maybe from 3/4 of the screen away. It’s guaranteed chip\damage on wakeup or closeup in general. EX flip, EX tatsu can’t beat it, and kongo gets broken by suction effect. I think it might tilt closer to Rufus’s favor if he has U2.
Reality for you is “can’t practice so I’ll settle for less.” You admitted it yourself, it’s too much work. Just like coming up with a decent argument is.
Really though, I laugh my ass off when someone walks into the tier topic and complains about theory fighting. What the fuck else you gonna do in here? Pop off about people talking when they don’t produce the results themselves? While making sure that you do nothing to prove them wrong other than say vague statements? Damn that is productive as hell. You got me, that’s way more valuable than theory fighting. I’ll go and “like” your posts ASAP so you can see those results at work.
Yang does no damage. Show a video of him doing passable damage (pretty decent range and damage/stun for a 3f hit confirm, realistic punish with cst.MK, realistic command grab combo, realistic punish combo. Rare jump in damage, rare EX Palm damage.) “NO THAT’S STUPID, YOU’RE A FAGGOT AND THAT’S UNREALISTIC.” Next time you can add (***REALISTIC COMBOS ONLY, and it MUST be within my execution because NOBODY is better than I am.***)
So, when you fail to come up with a good argument. You must prove yourself to be a better player under stress. Because that will prove all of my points wrong! I lost, so I have no idea what I’m talking about. Since I couldn’t do it, nobody else can. If I had to put this in terms a theory fighter could understand, it’d be like this: “Sounds fucking stupid. What does that even have to do with Yang?”
Deepest apologies to those who care about this topic (do you guys still exist?) I’ll force myself to finish testing some set ups instead of reading his shit.
Moar flame less thought provoking talk >=O
no, but really. Can we get off of this "youre dumb " “no, YOURE dumb” shit.

Thanks amiago, I was curious about those particular matches and it’s unfortunate to hear gouken loses them. I for sure thought gouken would have a better time against due to his zoning. As long as they aren’t 7-3 matches though it isn’t to discouraging.
Bullshit.
LP DP on Gekiro Whiff into U1
cr.MK
Focus lv 2 on Crane cr.HP
Jumping in a lot
Blocking a LOT of a setups.
Daigo knew that matchup well enough. Don’t be cray.
yang combos cause people would rather yell at each other than talk numbers.
damage/stun/meter(lazy)
cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.lk xx hp mantis slash x3 147/245
st.lp, st.lp, cr.mk xx hp mantis slash x3 179/285
cr.mk, hp mantis slash x3 186/246
st.lp, cl.hp, xx hp mantis slash x3 197/273
cr.lp, st.mp, cr.mk xx hp mantis slash x3 214/335(does a whopping 10 less damage than rufus’s bnb)
st.mp, cr.mk xx hp mantis slash x3 222/333/164(giving meter here for reference, one punish combo gives yang 2/3’s of an ex bar, he also gets this combo off of a command grab)
divekick
divekick, cr.lk, cr.lk, cr.lk xx hp mantis slash 186/262
divekick, cr.lp, cl.mp, cr.mk xx hp mantis slash x 3 242/337
stuff with his ultra 1 is over 400 starting from cr.mk.
his super still does dumb damage and has reset applications.
Those are all reactions, he plays that well. Daigo said he didn’t know the match up. There was discussion in this thread about it. Based on what he did, it did look like he didn’t know what he was doing to open Gen up rather relying on mistakes from Xian. Have you ever seen Daigo miss his U1 since Super came out?
With that statement you could effectively state that matchup knowledge is a complete lie.
Regardless of that fact. He played well. And won rounds, It wasn’t a blowup. I still reckon that footage is fairly accurate. Regardless.
didnt kyoku or whatever just get 3rd at the japan 25th aniv tourney with yang?
i also hate when people use an example of a “top” player switching characters as a sign that the character automatically sucks
if i were to pick out a bigger problem with yang than damage or whatever player switching characters, i’d have to say he has a lot of holes in his game when you start playing the match ups.
like his normals have decent frame data in a vaccum, but when you go to punnish or at least start your own offense from a blocked safe-ish type move you find out the stuff thats fast doesnt have the right hit box or the stuff thats got the range is too slow or just kills momentum without any available follow up.
for example if im playing fei, cr.lp rekka, cr.mp, or reversal rekka will solve just about every situation i encounter. or with gen i just press something into hands and im free of pressure, or i touch any button and im starting a frame trap/throw mix up
yang doesnt have these cure all answers.
it doesnt make him ass, but id say it will keep him from rising out of mid tier
Yeah yang’s st.lk nerf really messed that up. That was that button that he could hit vs. “safeish” moves and it blew them up. Now he doesn’t have it.
