i have gotten more of these than actual ragequits. i love how people pick their sagats and kens thinking theyre going to completely destroy sakura. by the end of the second round, and sometimes for the entire second round, they just stand there. egos destroyed.

Out of like 200 matches, just one really meek Cody player skipped out just as his health was about to fully vaporise in the last round.
I’ve won a few matches with T. Hawk’s 720, which I guess could be perceived as a rather harsh way to go out, but nope, still only that one blatant pull so far (do they pull a cable out, or just kick the big 360 off button? Maybe that’s why there’s less of it around now, as the console is so darn fragile).
I remember when 3s and SF:AE were on the old Xbox Live, God, that black screen sh1t was endemic if you ever rocked someone too hard and fast, and some people seemed to take the global rankings as life and death!

is there a penalty for Rage quitting like there was in IV after the update?
Got one from RageBlack. Seen him dashing back for a corkscrew blow, and he’s was pretty close to my Juri, I decided to take a risk and Ultra 2 him on wake-up. I got lucky and managed to hit. Obviously that didn’t sit well with him and low and behold Player has left!
i just did the same match up today. during the mid-second round he gave up with sagat. i said “okay more for me”. LMFBAO!!!

He did that to me on Vanilla too, then sent a stream-of-consciousness, I’m-gonna-f&ck-your-dad, type of message that I ignored. Life’s too short. But it does annoy me whenever anyone quits - it’s just a game: you play it to have fun, right?
Ranked match lobbies show a player’s D/C %, but only if you look at player data, not automatically. I saw a guy on the day the game was released who had a 5% D/C rate already. Needless to say I booted him from the lobby.
And as for people putting down their controllers as the new RQ, it could always be that their doorbell went/phone rang/waters broke and they just had to leave it. Mind you, I’ve seen some very odd replays on the replay channels - one guy stands still for 15 secs while the other duffs him up, then they swap roles for another 15 seconds, then they both frantically try to pull off Dan’s U2 at the same time. I guess they were just goofing around and talking on their headsets or something…
Well, I’ve yet to see a true rage-quit. I’ve probably disconnected a few times that made the other guy think I ragequit because they were winning, but in truth its just that my crappy internet drops once per day. I’ve lost wins to that too, but I’m guessing they didn’t think I ragequit because I was winning 
Well, if it was the first day, 5% means 1 D/C out of 20 matches, for example. Might’ve just been unlucky disconnect for him, that’s why I personally never bother checking. Maybe I’ll change if it starts happening to me.
In Ranked if you select Player Data it will show their Disconnect %
I’ve played like 500 matches and I haven’t had a single rage quit. Why do you guys insist on playing the worst possible opponents?
Here’s another one for the list: CrypticPillow, a Fei Long user.
He pretty much spammed FA -> Shien Kick and throws, and he ended up beating me the first match. The next time around, i just punished him with EX-Izuna’s (i played Guy both times). It was hilarious cuz he would try to U2 my Izuna and get dunked on his head instead. He ended up ragequitting after i won the match. I sent him a message about it, have yet to hear a reply tho.
Hahaha, I came across this guy too, he quit while the screen froze on Kens face as I landed ultra 1 on him at the end of the 2nd round.
