Really hope her forward dash is the same as in 3S. Half-screen fireball FADC into Karakusa combo for the WIN.
EDIT: I actually think there IS a good chance Makoto will retain her crazy 3S dash, as it strikes me as a unique part of Makoto’s movement that the developers would want to retain. It was part of her very interesting footsie flow; she walked at a Sagat-like crawl, but give her an opening and she could get right in your grill with barely any warning. This was reinforced by stuff like her slow f + HP lunges and her various step kicks, as well as the role of her dash punches in closing ground. I really think the character planners would want to hang onto that stuff.
Lol everyone here is hinging on the hope her dash is almost unreactably fast like in 3S if her dash in SFIV is more on speed with the SFIV cast man … she doesn’t have hope in hell XD

Well i wanna know how she is gonna do vs fireballs without parries coz at least ibuki is fast and dudley has that ducking move.

Haha, here’s hoping it resets the damage scaling. They can balance it by making her take as much stun as Seth during Tanden Renki.
If they had enough sense to give Ken his, then they should have enough sense to give Makoto hers. Or just increase the range.
I hope they add more frame advantage to Karakusa. That was one of my main problems with Fei-Long in this game. I’m fine with 1-2 frame links, it’s just that these grabs don’t have a “hit” indicator at the end. It’s so difficult for me to time a link without that.
I am so excited. Makoto’s play style fits me perfectly! As long as she retains her dash and her command grab is good I’ll be happy. I have a small issue though. I played with her in 3s, but i was never amazing or anything. When she is waking up, did she have any tools to get out of pressure aside from guess parries?
On 3s you could do it as soon as she put her opp on the floor and got her hands off them. It wasn’t TOO hard to time. It’ll be even easier with PLINKING in SF4.
