Hey guys, I’ve never been to James Games but I’m planning to check it out…What time do you guys suggest I go? More so when the competition is at it’s thickest…Thanks guys :tup:
Friday & Saturday nights is the better times to go from 7pm- 3am (3am is closing time) you will find mvc2 and sf4 comp.
you will frind mvc2 comp almost every day of the week there

James Game’s has the following machines:
6 MvC2
2 SF4 (4 Machines) they are networked so all cabinets are linked I.E. cabinet 1 will grab the first free challenger form any of the other 3
1 3’s
1 CvS2
1 XvS
1 MvC1
and others…
they took out the guilty gear, blaze blue & kof12 machines.
i did not see super turbo there last night but they had hyper fighting (i am always down for hyper btw)
i don’t play mvc2 but i play every thing else post up when you come through ill come down to get some games in with ya.

Yeah and you know. He took away BB but he really does need to get CS. It’s really the only other game but MvC2 he could get a scene for because the only place to play the game is in arcades. Aside from piracy (which still isn’t perfect) people would HAVE to go there to play. I’d be there SO much more if he had CS.

Problem with BB: CS is that no one is willing to learn the game outside of a few people, and at that point most CS players just make the drive over to AI.
Rick really had no idea how to make the game stand out more, he placed it in the what was essentially a tiny 1 player sit down cab. He then instead of linking it made it 2 player, and then he fucked up the button layout horribly!
If he could get at least two linked Net City’s or maybe a Megalo 410 Cab for it, i think more people would be willing to jump on it. BB: CS is so much better than CT and I would love it if there was more of a scene for it locally.
just read temjins earlier post, they got some HYPER! sweet! is it also in the same row as 3S and CVS2?
He just doesn’t put enough effort into it. If he wants people to come play BB as opposed to making a drive he needs to have a setup that can compare at least a little bit to AI’s.
He needs to be exclusive. Only a small number of people will go to his arcade that play these games because they are readily available to them on console. When an opportunity like CS comes up that people need arcades for he needs to be that place to play at.

GGs tonight, suprising how much the local comp has leveled up/how much I suck ass at SF4 since I stopped playing lol. Gonna have to start playing again, probably someone besides Balrog though.
Oh and CvS2 is waaayyyy fun, glad I picked it up recently at CPP. Team VegaHondaSagat ftw
Never played CvS2 much but as far as I can see it just seems like a great game.

Yeah, just started picking it up recently myself. Timings a bit more strict than SF4, but other than that it has a pretty similar feel(Still getting used to the fact that Balrog sucks ass in that game and Vega is amazing…seriously, his dash punches go through everything close range like Vega’s limbs, his headbutt has NO invincibility, and his TAP takes forever to charge up…he’s awful lol.)
I need to learn what to do against people who roll alot though, they usually get around me pretty well because I have no clue how to counter it. I’m thinking go for a throw when they come up, or use crouching jabs at the end of their roll, but again i’m not sure.
