Figured I’d ask here: for those who have the files, what media player are you guys using to play and watch these? I’m running on a relatively old laptop on Windows XP and out of the 4 media/mp4 players I’ve used so far, they all playback the videos differently and are choppy regardless. The sound is fine but the video is so chopped up it’s unwatchable in real time. I’ve figured out how to skip frame by frame in windows media player so I can still see the hitboxes that way, but it I’m looking for a way to get some smooth playback when actually playing the files.

Any recommended media player and/or codecs I should look for to help with this?

You probably have what I have: The files are in 720p HD, and your computer can probably only process 480p or lower. What I did is found a free video converter online, and converted the videos to I believe the dimensions are 720X480 or 640x480 on any file format you wish.

I use Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic to look at the videos. However, I want to see how to together would react (i.e. Ryu’s Shoryuken vs. Blanka’s Horizontal Roll) just to see how the frames would react. I think that I would need a video creating program like Sony Vegas Pro to do something like that.

Capcom needs to just give us hitbox view in Training with the next DLC, some hitbox data is still unknown, low & high hit/block frame for example.

This thread is brilliantly helpful. I’m glad SRK has developed to the point where everyone contributes to the same cause. Helping players develop not just as players, but even game designers.
