I’m not seeing far fierce being the same. It’s trading a lot more than usual for me. I used to stuff Rufus’ dive kicks and other jumpins free. Same with Abel. His jumping jab traded with my far fierce from a noticeable distance.
Also after watching Daigo vs Jwong, I’ve noticed cr.medium stuffed Rufus’ jumpin. Is that a new property? I used to cr.short Chun’s jumping neutral roundhouse, to make it whiff…but i’ve never tried cr.medium. How reliable do you think this is as AAA, considering the improved hit box? I’d luv it if it beats out jumping short/or horizontal limbs.
And I don’t think I’d completely abandon Ultra 1. That shit takes off a chunk of damage now. You can still dash ultra. Can anyone test it out against Rufus’ messiah followups? I know you only got like 3 hits, but I wonder how much damage it does now.

Yes, something was definitely changed, the cancels for the super from normal attacks seems to be less lax now. The ultra I spot no difference, but something is definitely up on the double flash.
Thanks i will put my work in when i get home…it looks possible…so obviously im using the initial down back and the forward before the sonic boom to do the first part of the double flash…i didnt think of that.
cr.HP seems a lot worse now. Am I the only one noticing this? It seems like guile has no great way to AA with a normal now, Ken and Bison matchups are a NIGHTMARE.
What are you smoking? You need to use more than just Cr. Fierce, Cr. Fierce is good if they are almost right on top of you and it usually trades, it’s more of a get off me move and you risk trading.
You need to utilize walking backwards and using a st. Strong or even a neutral forward. Even his B. Fierce is fucken good for AA. Standing strong fucken owns bison. Guile has great AA normals. It’s his flashkick that is balls.
i played for about 5 hours yesterday, there were 2 ibukis (tying ken guy thawk, juri, and gief for the second most common pick i saw) but still the internets a big place, so if i fought 8 guiles and you fought none i imagine they must have all been lining up in my neck of the woods for some reason
Biggest SSF4 non-change: losing close matches to equally skilled opponents because their character has easier (guaranteed?) combos into their ultra. We can all be excited about fk/fadc/sh, but it’s no game changer by any means due to the execution being so tricky. Love the game so far, but it should’ve been as simple as fk>ultra2 ala Balrog headbutt>ultra. Gotta love that sonic hurricane though! =)
