I would for sure get it as well if I didnt have to wait for it to ship and would be able to pick it up somewhere as well. The gym bag is pretty sweet tho, and dont get me started on the awesomeness of playing w/ the headband on!

Well they’ll always be the exception but I think we can all agree on the fact that Capcom could of packaged more useful items in this.
Even with all the useless stuff, $80 is hella steep for a $40 base tag game. Take into consideration the fact that the gym bag and water bottle will most likely be low quality (as so many “pack-in” items are) and it really baffles me.
Now, were they to have made a collector’s that came with the game, DVD w/ anime and other videos, and soundtrack and it all came with a gym bag and t-shirt? Hell yeah that’s worth $80. But not this.
On the note of Collector’s Edition. If I pre-oredered the Japanese coll ed (360)I get the movie DL code, right? Now will that code let me download on an American account or do I have to make a Japanese XBL account?
I’d say most likely you’ll need to have a Japanese Live account. Typically content like that is region specific, but not always…? Honestly I’m not positive.
You might be able to find some way to simply convert your existing Live account temporarily to the Japanese region. I know this was possible in the past for the U.S. players who wanted stuff like exclusive Japanese game demos and the like, but I’m not sure if this is still possible what with all the changes they constantly make to Live (see: make worse). Google will help you more than I can, unfortunately. =/
My guess is that the content would be region locked…but I’m not too big on XBL so I don’t know ways around it or how it would work.
I agree. i happen to workout too. I do Karate, Kickboxing, Judo and MMA. I hate the whole stereotypical “he plays video games so he’s either a scrawny nerd or a morbidly obese couch potato.”
^That’s not true for sf players at all. Looking at the community as a whole, I would say less than 30-50 % of the people are nerds, or anything similar of the sort.
Still waiting for Ami Ami to get their stock of Collector’s Edition so I can pay them and have it shipped the next day.
I figured for 4,900 yen plus 50% off EMS shipping would be worth getting since if I just went to any store to buy SSFIV, the game plus sales tax would possibly be $50 CDN, I’m probably adding $20 to get the booklet, OST, DVD and I think the extra Tourney DVD…I think, from what is posted from Capcom of Japan’s SSFIV CE page, there seems to be:
Main package:
- OST
- DVD of SFIV PVs from 2008 - 2010
- SSFIV booklet - Looks like a calender style move list, 1 page each for each character.
Below seems to be another DVD featuring SFIV pros(tourney disc?).

Yeah it was to make up for us not getting the Soundtrack disc. I don’t know why but EU didn’t get the soundtrack disc.

They’re all great. As you saw the shirt is too small for me. But I know I’ll get some use from the water bottle and the gym bag for my TE is love. I need to examine the Juri USB stick to see what’s on it. When I do I’ll let people know.
